Means for the entire course(5.5 years) we have to pay Rs 5856 (academics + hostel fees combined I guess) and for the mess alone we have to pay Rs 4,300 a month (Rs 51,600 a year and almost Rs 2,83,000 at the end of 5.5 years)? I know it may not be that expensive but the comparison is startling. Do correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, you are right. Actually you can't compare these 2 things because academic and hostel facilities are provided by central government that's why price is that low, whereas mess food is provided by private company whoever gets the tender from government.

Didi tina sab kuch Per month 4300 bohat sasta hai . Dekha to per day 137 rs par rahi hai 137 mai to kahi hoga . But AIIMS is AIIMS ❤❤❤❤❤❤
