The ballad is over simplified here. The ballad that i have heard states that jamali and buledi from the adversary side retreated first. on the other hand, magsi also fled from the battle ground only Chandio and Rind were the last standing, fighting against eachother. on fleeing from the battle Magsi were thrown bangles at by their women and were incited to return to the ground and they did return and then Chandio and magsi in unison worsted rind. In the end sher muhammad rind was fatally injured and asked for water when ahmed khan magsi offered him a bowl of water he threw it with his face and asked wali Muhammad chandio to give him water that he did, there after sher muhammad was beheaded. Since then magsi called chandio their elder brother out of respect until they became nemesis again. Ironically, later in 1914 chandio magsi fought a fiery war against eachother the vendetta lasted for 5 years and resulted hundreds of deaths from both the sides, Because of that war both the tribes had become an epitome of enmity again.
