How is no one talking about how Bandai has a copyright on multi coloured runners? That seems like an insane monopolistic practice

I think megami device kits are well worth the cost. I don’t have the time or skill yet to paint kits like I want so having a kit that looks so good out of the box is great.

Alice Gear Aegis series just DAMN GOOOOOOOD !! I think everyone should play the game and model, if you like Bishojo + Mecha, damn sweet. Highly recommand "Kaneshiya Sitara", the design of Ganesha, gives you "GP03 Dendrobium" feels.

They hold the patent on multigate injection not the copyright. You can't copyright a process (unless Japan is different from just about every other industrialised nation), patents allow the original inventors of a process (or a new type of product) to solely benefit from it for a set period of time and have to be registered and approved. They may have managed to get the patent extended in Japan as it should have expired in 2016, it has expired in Europe though. Even if it has expired, they are under no obligation to make the tech available to other companies and they would have to develop or reverse egingeer it themselves.

The face printing on this one looks better than the first version, AND it comes with extra parts. I think it's a better deal than the first release imo 😁

Another thing you should mention is the pre painted parts and tampo printing will add to the overall cost as well. That's another reason why Sousai Shojo Teien kits are expensive because of all the tampo printing, despite they don't have that much parts. Bandai however only include ONE tampo printing face in some FRS character kit to cut down the cost and keep the price very low. And some of the 30ms kit also don't come with ws decals. And the worst part it, bandai didn't make any eye decals for 30ms Idolmaster characters. So I would go for Kotobukiya mecha musume kits rather than bandai.

I love her unarmored form, when you pulled out her hammer I had to do a double take to see which of us built the connection pieces upside down. 😅

Bandai has patent on co-molding runners? considering that co-molding plastic is widely used in the broader scope of general toys manufacturing; I have to wonder if patenting its use in models would really hold up... Lego for example, one could make the case that a snap together construction toys and a snap together model kits are too close of a use context.

Afaik Bandai has a patent on multi-color injection and the only other kits I’ve seen use it are made in China, where there’s obviously less concern for patent infringement

Suprised Bandai actually owned that multi-colour injection technology and no other company allowed to do the same.😅

Bandai have copyright of that? But I bet for the chinese competitors means nothing and that's why even more mecha musume from China is getting even better than before.
