Yeah I think you can play both ways with a lot of armies too tho... you can spam vehicles or infantry.. or with nids you can also just spam the big monsters. There's lots or options

So I also started a Drukhari army early in the year around february. Painted two Combat Patrols, two Venoms and a Chronos. Then I got sidetracked with other projects (i.e. 127 Kroot models, ~1000 points of Space Marines and a bunch of Kill Teams incl. Mandrakes and Hand of the Archon). Now in November I finally got back around to this project, which I will hopefully put a sizeable dent into over a two week christmas vacation, and thankfully I have already built primed those models. I got prepped: 10 Scourges 25 Wracks 20 Wyches 6 Jetbikes 5 Hellions 2 Talos 2 Venoms 2 Haemunculus 1 Succubus Drazhar Lelith Only issue is that before I want to tackle those, I also want to complete the new Kill Team box Brutal & Cunning as well as two Necron Ghost/Doomsday Arks and a Destroyer Lord.

Court of the Archon is also fun with 5 Warriors plus an Archon in a Raider. The whole unit will have Lethal Hits (for all weapons), Fights First and -1 to wound.

I personally really like Edge Miniature's STL takes on the Beastmaster as proxies! But you can kitbash one too from hellions and the skulls box/AOS kits, or use a vintage metal hellion with a vintage beastmaster for something interesting

For Beastmaster Proxies try "Dark city - Beast Bundle With Taskmaster" Its the best one in my opinion. Also, you can find similar kits for Dark lance/haywire so as to not need so many kits, however I absolutely love how you made the two scourge squads. Bat boys are best boys!

@EonsOfBattle For the Beasmaster, use a hellion with the split whip from the scourges (since you have 4 of them) and the mirror helm head from the Reavers. (That is what I did for mine) As for the beasts, you can use the birds from the Hand of the Archon and the Corsairs, the Clawed Fiend use a rat ogre, the Khymerae are dogs from either necromunda . dogs from fantasy, or flesh hounds. Hope this helps until they either come out with one or eliminate the unit (which I hope doesn't happen)

Well, GW has been helping you out with all the constant point increases x'D For the beastmaster pack: -For the khymera I used fenrisian wolves, heard about some using lotr wargs -For the birdies, I had some 3d printed ravens I found that were for zombiecide (scaled up a bit and put on a new base) -For the fiend I went for one of the "cursed elves" beasts from the Beastmaster's bundle

Add to that unit of your court a full 10-man squad of Kabilites, and you're almost unstoppable. Trust me, it works very well. If you really want, make two full courts of Archon squads.

I think Jay's Dark Eldar are the first I've seen that actually build the models hanging off of the vehicles or standing on them. Everyone else I've seen that builds and/or plays them instead turns those models into extra models for Cabalites and what have you.

Pro strat for the venom gap. Its a lot easier to emphasise the seam between the hull and railing, to make it fit with the other panel gaps on the hull Also, regulat old blue tack should work just as well with the liquid mask.

Blue tack and duct tape both work well for masking, but I think it would be hard to get that jagged, random edge with blue tack

Colors are excellent, wear and speckling and stippling are great, they add lots of depth and some realism but the clean edge highlights kind of cancel some of that out. Don't get me wrong the overall effectis still *VERY* good, but I'm surprised you didn't go with a little bit of broken edge highlighting.

As a Harlequins player I'm not biased or anything but a good add to your army would be some Harlequins. A Solitaire, Troupe (with a Troupe Master), and maybe a Voidweaver do real work with or without their army rule and the new Grotmas detachment works even if you only have a few. Trust me, I'm not biased.

I took my venom from when i thought i wanted to paint and play dark eldar. Assuming you mean the black rocky ones, he made them with basing material like rocks earlier this year then made silicone molds of them, so now he uses resin to cast replicas of them
