Shirakawa sensei's technique is very clean, dynamic and very beautiful. I love his technique very much. It's nice to see many young people on the same path, not just Momoko. It is a very energetic dojo. Great respect🙏
It's good to see someone starts very young in Aikido.. I started doing Iwama ryu Aikido, together with my son, when I was 41, now I'm almost 48 and still enjoying the practice at the dojo.. and it was a good experience when I did the shodan grading together with my son :p

音吐にありがとう桃子さん.ありがとうございました。 あなたの芸術は、あなたを美しい魂にします。 Thank you very much Momoko, your art makes you a beautiful soul !
I did Aikido for about 6 months and loved it. I only stopped as I moved areas. I was white belt useless level, but I still loved the whole martial art and am thinking of taking it up again. Momoko is really good and I realise she isn't the same as the main Sensei, however she has skills good enough to teach around the world. Momoko needs to stop being shy and needs to be confident in herself, as her skills are good

Very beautiful and accurate techniques! It's lovely to see the support the other students give her and they see that she supports them as well.
Amazing Video !!!!!!! Surprisingly, they all have high skill techniques. Master Shirakawa is one of the best Aikido leaders in the world. Great dojo. Thank you for sharing.

Her method and these other aikidokas have excellent techniques. I love the way they exercise them with sincerity and precision.She is a good teacher I have never practiced aikido but I enjoyed this vedio ,I have practiced ukemi but aikido 's ukemi goes a lot further in expertise. .Thank you 🙏

Thanks for the video. I didn't know Aikido had a wooden staff/stick form (which mimics sword play also, of course). I hope Miss Momoko can continue her dedicated training to become a great teacher and practitioner of this martial art form. All the best for the future!

Aikido will serve you well Momokosan. I know an short 86 year old Japanese woman that is a 6dan kuro obi. She was mugged by a large muscular Samoan man. She used Aikido and held him in a wrist lock until police came to arrest the man. Aikido works.

I’ve never studied Aikido, but it looks like alot of fun! I know Aikido gets alot of criticism that it’s not a “real martial” for the streets, but I think when these people combined their Aikido with punching and kicking, they must be pretty formidable. She appears to be very good at this.
@silafuyang86753 жыл бұрын
I study martial arts almost 20 years already, became interested in aikido some 10 years ago. Martial art for the streets does not exist. Every style teaches you useful things, no matter how "realistic" it may seem or how much criticism about it there is in the social media. Most of those who have negative comments on different styles than theirs, have zero experience training those styles. The others are just selfish. Anyway, for the streets, staying away from trouble is the best "art".

Aikido has tools for those situations. It's called _atemi_ . It is striking before performing the throw move. It is widely taught but never shown in exhibitions.
Realmente o aikido é uma arte marcial muito bonita e principalmente nos dias de hoje as mulheres aprender a si defender e o aikido tem umas técnicas muito eficiente para defesa pessoal feminina nota mil não é dez não é mil

I've only studied Aikido under the Aikikai system for 6 years, practiced a bit in Japan. I think Momoko san is great! I respect her and her commitment. I've seen the ukemi spin and land on their feet. Is this not taught in your school?

So cute and tender Momoko, very adorable >>--♡--->
I genuinely feel that women have a number of natural advantages, when it comes to aikido. Their lower center of gravity comes to mind. Aikido also does not require intense physical strength and often depends on the attacker's willingness to commit to an attack to work. To me, Aikido stances often appear to be wide open and vulnerable to attack but it is precisely this perceived vulnerability that attracts the specific types attacks that aikidoka prefer to counter. In other words, manipulating the perception of one's own vulnerability is an import part of Aikido technique and, for better or for worse, it's often easier for women to appear vulnerable.
