This is a great collaboration! Sakuraba is known for his fights with the Gracie family. Shirakawa Sensei is one of the best Aikido masters of our time. A collaboration between an MMA legend and a modern Aikido master. Amazing.

What a pleasure to see Mr Sakuraba still healthy and active! He was in so many hard fights, you worried that he would be badly hurt.
Sakuraba, the legend! Sakuraba never seemed to let himself get trapped into doing what was accepted. Someone pulled guard? Instead of passing or trying to strike from inside the guard, he just jumped over it or started kicking their legs. Someone shells up on the ground? Clap their head until they're forced to do something else. Also, I love this collaboration. A truly respectful sharing of awesome knowledge.

So many people mocked Aikido as a useless martial art because of how impractical it is. But I think it was about how they have been trained and how it has been adapted to the real situation. I heard that the Akidoka are usually don't do full force sparing and avoid to train with the other martial art styles. Your channel is real gold. You have break the wall to explore and expand the art of Aikido well.
Shirakawa Ryuji sensei is the best aikido master in the world. He is at the top of Aikido and has new techniques. He is a genius of Aikido. But he is very humble and works well with other martial arts masters. That is the spirit of harmony in Aikido. I am a big fan of his and I love watching his work.
Mr. Sakuraba is a living legend! I love seeing this blending of styles. I have trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over a decade and have had success with kote gaeshi as a takedown, and sankyo as a means of control. I agree with Mr. Sakuraba, the opponent will be afraid to grab you!
