Hey I'll definitely be making a proper tutorial on how I make my covers in the future. I can outline a quick overview on how to get the notes though. Firstly you want to find out which key the song is in. You can normally just find this online. Then from that, you will know that the notes for the song are from that scale. Knowing some music theory can help with this. For example, If a song is in the Key of A major. Then the notes for that song will normally (Not always!) be from the A major scale. After that, I normally hum along to the song and try to play the melody line using notes from the scale. This can sometimes be trial and error Hope this helps and good luck!
