I'm not sure since I'm no expert but I feel like her runs are taught she does have some agility in her voice for sure .but Some people it just seems that they have whether they get training or not (d.o-hyorin) I'm I right ?

Jazzz G I mean it's easier to harness agility that's already present. If Ailee got assistance with her agility, it was working off the fact that she already naturally has it. Some people are naturally better at running & have more flexible cords. I think maybe what you're hearing is influences, she does draw influences from Whitney, Mariah, etc, so her runs are pretty calculated.

I'm not a fan of her vocal runs and riff I've always though that they rarely matched or complimented the rhythm of the song they just sounded very underdeveloped. Her riffs only sounded good when she copied them off of another artist like that Mariah Bb5 and that Ariana grande riff from "problem". I will say that she's much better now then when they used to be she's gotten so much better now.

TayTay BeyNippy I have to disagree because she's actually quite good with matching the rhythm. Her runs are pretty precise and usually have a clear sense of direction. Someone who has the issues you're describing would be like Perrie Edwards or Demi Lovato, but Ailee's sense of agility in terms of accuracy, complexity and pitch is actually quite good.

Lovato's Channel thank you! and they're certainly not her forte. I've heard more simple ones that weren't terrible but she can struggle with things like pitch to the flow of the run, as she'll either be quite robotic or just slide through the run in a messy manner.

I absolutely understand I think I'm the only one that has this opinion about her but I really do think that the accuracy of her runs/riffs aren't really that good I just always hear riffs that I absolutely don't find to be fit with rhythm of the song at all from her. I'm not saying all her riffs are like that but most of them are to me. Pitch and complexity are two different topics and a riff or a run can be on key and pitch perfect and fast and intricate and complex all at the same time but not compliment the music in an accurate way at all. And that's what I hear with her I will say that I absolutely agree with you on Perrie and Demi are definitely two singers that I don't really care for their riffs in any way, shape or form. Anyways sorry for going into this long ass rant it's just my personal opinion and I do know that I'm maybe the only one that thinks that way about her but I respect yours as well :)
