That C6, I wish we got to hear her go higher with her head voice. Thanks for the showcase! Btw, I think it’s super interesting how obvious Ailee sounds like a soprano with a chesty mix in comparison to an actual mezzo-soprano. There were nice mid-belts here though, along with nice head voice moments. Ailee is really good with her musicianship too (e.g. her ability to harmonize with Ali & the bit of agility she did).

Always thanks for detailed comments. Ali’s voice sounds darker than usual and Ailee’s a bit brighter here haha I loved those performances, especially Lena Park song and how she puts harmonization on every song was impressive. Btw, i’ve just Ailee talking about her having vocal nodule and she is recovering this year in the radio show. :o

Aileelove123 no problem! Oh she talked about her vocal nodules on the radio? Did she get them treated/removed? I don’t think she had a severe case otherwise she would’ve seriously regressed, but I hear a massive improvement in her condition these days despite back to back shows. I’m really proud of her and I’m happy to see her voice being in good shape.

mh g Yes, it is on twitter @12lalala It seems that she has been checking her shape of vocal cord even before having nodule and she’s been suffered for years. According to her, the doctor said that her size of vocal nodule is getting reduced this year and her cords looks almost like when the doctor first met her. I’m shocked and glad at the same time aftet hearing this. Very sad she had to keep performing too much even with her nodule but glad because she’s gonna serving better vocals from now on. The 2,3,4th day of concert was great and 5th was a bit worse still decent considering her schedule

Aileelove123 that makes so much honestly, I knew there was a persistent problem affecting her voice for several years now. I didn’t really understand how fatigue alone would affect her voice for so long (especially from late 2016 to 2018). I was worrying that she was regressing possibly but we didn’t know it was nodules affecting her. I hope this means her nodules have gone away or are/will be removed. Nodules are every singer’s nightmare and I hope she goes to vocal lessons to rehabilitate & improve her voice. She sounds good these days, so I hope she’s in good shape.

@@fiveleaf_clover Agreed. Her having nodule explains lots of thing. Her reduced vocal quality and inconsistency and meaning of the interview in Don't forget me 2016 IS2 performance.(why she was about to cry and worried) She always doesn't want to reveal her weakness(it is how she is), so i feel bad for her having to hide this issue for so long.. Anyway 3rd day of 'Let it go' F5s(not the one on insta and YT) and 'How can someone like this' F5s and Eb5, are proof of her improvement. I heard very nice, definetly some of her best E5s and D5s at the 2nd day of tour and I though that I was possibly fooling my ears, but I'm sure that she got better these days after glimpsing some fancams of 2nd day in 12lala twitter account. I hope we could get all the fancam

I died at "Showing off agility" at 3:51 LOL. Btw what a good way to start a year w/ this showcase! (I also love how she still has tone even in her lowest notes wow)

I'm glad to hear she's singing above Bb5 in head voice, but I'm worried she might be inconsistent on B5 now. She sounds tense and tight but it's probably because she's just playing around in the variety show.

@@aileelove1238 I would double-check with ahmin because they sound tense and have tension especially when she gives the vibrato at the end, still, her mix has definitely improved ever since she realized she developed nodules, she must be going to a vocal coach now to address her technique,

at 0:46, you notice she starts to struggle at the end with the B5's and the last C6, she gets tight there as well.

Richard Wong I agree after around 0:47 it sounds less free, but first few phrase were rounded, opened and ringing. Those sounds more resonant than A5s she had showcased 2019
