This was before Ailsa persuaded him and his 'cousin' Ivan to streamline their business model by concentrating on passing trade only so they only went after backpackers and tourists after that. Prior to that the census had shown an inexplicable dramatic drop in the local population.

I forgot about this fantastic Home & Away and Heartbreak High crossover. Rivers obviously had enough of Hartley and looked for greener pastures at Summer Bay.

Title Edit- 'Alf's Gunny Lust Returns'- Well flamin' heck, old Alf got a big case of gun envy here after he decided to bring a meat tenderiser to a gun fight, it's easy to see what initiated his subsequent spiral into Gunny lust which culminated in him opening up his own cage business with his 'cousin' Ivan. The robber asking Alf if he was 'really that stupid' was a bit redundant considering Alf's decision earlier that same morning to put on that shirt he was wearing. The cops were very realistic. the only inaccuracies with their portrayal were that they weren't too fat to run, didn't clean the joint out of donuts and offer to show their badges in payment nor offer to dance the macarena before they left to go and quickly arrest someone for using the wrong pronouns before their next meal break, but they totally nailed the sub-par intelligence part. Sally was most unfortunate to get shot in the leg when she has a heap of built-in ballistic protection in her chest area but that left her best feature unblemished for her to give Jessie a farewell gift before she lets Vinnie the simp have a chop at her. Alf's description of Ailsa's trauma symptoms was an excellent piece of script writing which seemed to strongly suggest that she was indeed suffering the first symptom of the very rare but not unknown trauma reaction of turning into a tampon with her becoming 'up tight' which usually then progresses into a victim then becoming 'out of sight' before withdrawing completely 'in the groove'. However, that Doctor Alf spoke to should've suggested the standard treatment protocol for Post Traumatic Tampon Syndrome of tying a length of string to the victim's ankle in order to aid in her physical recovery so that psychiatric treatment could then begin at the earliest time thereafter to prevent a relapse as well as the attendant increased risk of a possible prolapse. Additionally, her noticeably emotionally distant response when that professional pie eating customer came into the kitchen with his tackle hanging foul swinging it around and asking 'who wants to go for a ride on my helicopter?' also indicates a significant traumatic reaction when this reaction is contrasted with what happened when he did the same thing last week to Irene and she enthusiastically jumped straight on board like a dust-off under fire in 'Nam. An interesting episode that sets up for a flamin' explosive sequel!
