ioStux Coaching | Overwatch I have a feeling alot of these topics involve training on lucio bots. Will putting amp it up on lucio speed boosts help train reactive aiming...the only other setting im having trouble with is getting lucio bots to jump in the air on low gravity. At the moment im trying to get my aim to 50% on mcree at 100% movement speed on lucio and then increasing lucio movement speed later...are there any other settings you would recommend?

I guess this is true for any skill people could master. I don't think a professional musician is actually thinking about playing the instrument right instead of processing a melody. And the artist doesn't think how to drive his pen right instead of being focused on the picture he imagine. I would say, from my own experience, the most insane shots and plays I've ever made weren't conscious at all, at all. These epic shots were released by themselves, the only thing I did was staring straight at the enemy's face lol.
@Zanbie6 жыл бұрын
Your eyes track the target and your hand mimicks the motion. Thats reactive aiming. I would advise to try Aim Hero (Laser Gun) for practice as I found it very helpful. I noticed it when my hand automatically goes up with the opponents jump. Before playing Aim Hero, this wasnt something I did at all.
@DasOmen025 жыл бұрын
I've now watched two of your aim videos (the other one being "how long does good aim take") I really like how you have an honest, non-snake oil approach to mechanics. Be patient as good aim takes a while; and remember to not train your aim, but train your brain :D
@kanarius3626 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean ... In the last time when I pull of a sick shot with widow I ask myself " how did I do that " ... I always thought it was luck but those shots are hitting more and more often and the game starts to feel natural and my reactions become instinctive
@thebulletkin83932 жыл бұрын
I don't get how to make it purely instinctive, it just doesn't seem right and i can't do it
@miguelpereira98592 жыл бұрын
After watching so much half baked, ill-considered advice from fake aim gurus on KZbin I finally come across a video that actually has good, valuable information. My aim is at its best when I don't overthink it and actually LOOK at the opponent's I'm trying to shoot at. This is something that seems painfully obvious but most players don't have an understanding of this concept. So the best advice on aiming is to relax your arm and wrist, reduce your brain fog, get out of your head and actually LOOK at the contents of your screen and at the enemy and it's surroundings

The one thing in Overwatch that tilts me more than a 30 game losing streak, is when i'm performing bad ( Aiming, Positioning, etc ). It triggers my depression. How can i get better :c
@Karaage_6 жыл бұрын
Accept that you are performing bad, work on improving it, analyze your matches to see how you are performing poorly, and if the game puts you on tilt take a break and take care of your health(drink water, exercise, etc.). I think he has some videos on this sort of thing under the category of mindset. And on the topic of improving, analyzing your games will skyrocket your improvement if you do it as often as possible.

Take a couple hours get your head cleared and come back positive with only the goal to improve use obs to vod yourself even if they're shit quality and review them the next day before you play again.
@Octamed6 жыл бұрын
Record videos of yourself using something like OBS. You'd be surprised how easy it is to see problems and fix them when you aren't under pressure.

I didn't start playing competitive till my aim was good. Just played ffa and aim hero everyday. ffa might be debatably more triggering than comp, considering Moira and hog and shit. But in the long run it helped. Went 2900 to 3700

I feel like my instincts have trained bad reactions. By that, I mean that if I do not consciously think about where the crosshair is, I will waste around half a clip shooting just to the right of my target. It is extremely consistent--like, if I could move the crosshair a few degrees to the left on the screen my accuracy would probably double. The only way I know to work through this is to consciously aim, but if you have any other suggestions I would love to hear them.
It's neither. It's about 2-10° to the right every time. That's what I mean by "consistent". It's a bad habit I need to clobber
@frankmc83556 жыл бұрын
huckmart 99 That's what I do, and then when I shoot the crosshair isn't on the target because I wasn't paying attention and it naturally tends to shoot off to the right of the target
@jeffreychandler84186 жыл бұрын
im similar. Like if i snap onto someone i can track them very well, but if i miss that snap by a degree. I will be off by that degree until i force my aim. The only thing i can think of for fixing that is to aim then barely flick right every time and eventually the habit will break
@czdot5 жыл бұрын
Oh, I also do that when I play CSGO. I am always about few pixels from a body and I usually end up dead by the time I correct it. And then I randomly flickshot someone with a Deagle.
@thebulletkin83932 жыл бұрын
The idea of not thinking about the aim just bewilders me, i concentrate hard in aim lab and admittedly get tense but i don't see how you can make a flick without thinking. it sounds very important to learn but i am clueless as to how to do so.

Exactly!!!! People need to know this for every topic, not just OW. Practice must be deliberate! You must know what you're practicing if you want to get better! Once it's game time, you will see if your practice pays off or not. Don't try to change anything up too fancy! It's exactly like your tactics vs strategy video, once you have a strategy, don't change it up too fancily in-game. I see you've been going in a more general direction with your videos lately, and although I'm not sure exactly how I feel about that, you will definitely reach a wider audience. Still loving the high quality tips.

Personnaly i used to be a really good tracking player but i played tons of pharah and other projectile heroes (orisa, rein, genji) so i got used to predict where the ennemy will go and now sadly i can't play hitscan especially soldier/mcree and idk how to get rid of this habbit of overaiming (aiming where the ennemy will be) and underaiming (aiming just where the ennemy was, yet still following his movements with a delay). So how can i get rid of this bad habbit ?

The concept you're referring to is "OODA loop". Stands for "Observe, Orient, Decide, Act". Should research it some, it will give you the phrases you can't think of. Teaches you all the fundamentals your brain must do, when acting upon anything with a variable. I took a course on it for firearm training.
