Being in Kerala, I see the divides in society, a very fractured one in the past, have been patched to a large extent, one of the head starts, I’d suggest. Another was land reforms, which too has long ramifications. The economic stranglehold we’ve had on ourselves for a long time might be dealt with in the next decade, as we move beyond the mask of communism, and better leaders emerge. The Communist party’s hold on the youth in state schools and colleges where student politics reign will be neutralised by the time Gen Z takes over. The past has allowed us a better present, and I’m sure we’re moving to a much better one. Tvm is a place I love to visit. Great friends from there, living better lives today than 20 years ago. I think Kerala’s power lies in tourism and its co operative structures supporting a solid entrepreneurial spirit, of which our movie industry is a proud example. Far from the current reality is the reality we’re creating. Sorry about the late response, man. 😂
