Please make this available for mac! As a tech dummy loading "other operating systems" to run "other programs" is completely overwhelming to me and to be honest completely discourages me from even attempting it. I invested in an AIM SOLO2 last year and would really love to get a much closer look at my on track data to help me to improve.

Really wish Aim would update the firmware to show optimal lap within the Solo 2 DL itself without the need the download to Racelab3. Would this be possible? Optimal lap for session, day or entire track visit would be an absolute win. Also a RS3 phone app similar to what Lapsnap does.

Hey, if by 'optimal' lap you're referring to theoretical - your delta time would be much more helpful while on track. Your theoretical, or 'optimal' time is only useful to analyse after your race! Using theoretical, you'll figure out what you could've done during each lap using Race Studio 3, on track it would be kind of pointless, essentially saying "You could've been faster there, but you weren't" kind of thing...😅 Delta is way more efficient during a race!

There is a big difference, and quite a price gap, but if you just want a lap timer, the Solo 2 DL is perfect! If you were thinking of rewiring your vehicle, now or in the future, a PDM module would be a sensible thing to do as you have all of the functionality from the Solo but much, much more on top of that. We can touch on this in future videos, I'll drop you a tag if we mention this!

Yes, you can! Only with the Solo 2 DL, not the Solo 2.

Does the DL function the same as the original Solo2 when it is NOT connected to the ECU?

Basically it does, you have a bit more customisability with your displays, but effectively yes.
