After a decent first day, Matt Kelly, and Andy start having a myriad of problems with equipment breaking down. But when the grain cart goes down, it could bring corn harvest to a screeching halt. Matt gets burned cutting metal upside down. Andy gets the 4440 stuck.

God Bless you , sincerely, that was unusual for that bolt to get picked up by your combine, go through it and land in the auger of the buggy. you stuck with it as farmers always do.

We had our screens to come apart one year. Didn’t choke the grain cart up but sure choked the grain bins up when we was loading and unloading the bins.

Good luck with rest of harvest haven't started yet in northern indiana. I have had louse bolts in chain in return elvater that stops it that happened twice still don't know where they came from

Howdy Matt, Kelly, Andy, I hope ya'll are doing well, 275 corn, that's impressive, to bad its not all like that, and if your gonna have a brake down with the grain cart, thats the kinda easy fix you want, nothing broke, just a bolt needing to be cut out, I'm curious what the corn maze looks like now, i remember when you were cutting out maze, but its gonna look way more like the maze now, when you get hot minute, I hope you throw the drone up, so we can see how it looks now, im up here in Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦, and unfortunately I won't have an opportunity to run the maze, at least not this fall, hopefully one year I'll have the chance to leave our Farm, to come down and see your Family Farm, and run your corn maze, it'll have to be after our harvest is done, Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends

Wow Matt, this was certainly not a recruiting advertisement the attract new farmers. But yeah, having fought grass fires in a hay field back during my misspent youth, I know what all can happen. Practically anything!! Glad you got out of it without too much damage to your discharge auger, at least you can be happy about that.

A neighbouring farmer here is farming with just one arm,, lost the other on a PTO shaft that didn't have a cover. Hope you get it a bit more plain sailing for the rest of harvest.

You might try some Sambucus Elderberry gummys they really help when I have had a nagging cough or sore throat.

All those factory sun shades are useless. The only ones I've ever used that worked were some aftermarket ones that we had in a John Deere 4630. Had them on the back and two side windows. To look at the material the shades were made of, you'd think the holes were too small and not enough of them, but you could see through them quite well in actuality. You wouldn't want to do precision maneuvering looking through them, but for making passes back and forth in a field they were fine.
