@@LOUDsigh I think you took her statement slightly out of scope. By "going back" she is simply referring to a specific style of black gospel music that has been basically forgotten. If ANYTHING Febuary should embrace this forgotten genre of music. The very legends we celebrate and memorialize give credit to it for their success.

You can tell Rev Davis was sick during this recording but he STAYED THE COURSE! I'm saddened how gospel music has disregarded the significance of our choirs and basically replaced/repackaged those melodic tones for today's praise & worship and hosanna sounds. Traditional gospel has been replaced with a more Euro/Christian genre sound. Not knocking anyone. I simply miss all those majestic voices singing together.
