I found the newspaper article from this recording. It was recorded in 1991 at Chester High School. A unique fact is that this song was originally supposed to be recorded on the He's Preparing Me album, but Rev. Davis chose that song for title track. Daryl Coley would have been the soloist for this song. Lecresia did an excellent and anointed job. I am blessed to own this rare VHS tape.

I had never heard this song before and I was out of town when I got a call that my husband & daughter had died so I had to get on a plane in a hurry (even if I had to watch KZbin to learn how to fly the plane myself). It seemed like I wasn't going to make it, my heart & soul hurt in a way I still can't explain. I wasn't carrying on and the man sitting beside me was trying to make small talk and honestly I have no idea what he was talking about, he asked me if he could be nosey and I said sir, I'm sorry I just can't talk right now he asked what happened but I couldn't get it out. He took his ipod out and said I want you to listen to a song because something tells me you need it, it was this song. Every word in this song is what i was feeling and I broke down. I told him what had happened and he prayed over, with & for me. I listen to this song any time I'm going through and send it others going through. Thanks so much for sharing!!!! Imagine what that heavenly choir up there sounds like with so many talented voices we all miss hearing.

I just know that I’ve witnessed God’s healing power to the degree that even the worst pain can be eased over time. I pray that he stays close to you and you stay close to him. Let the love you have for your sister inspire you to live on and get all the blessings she probably always knew you deserved. I love God but im not the most spiritual person. Sometimes im simply human…and in that retrospect I’d say..live your life the way you’d want your sister to live hers if u had went on to heaven before her❤️

TIME. Time WITH GOD. THAT'S how you'll get through it. How do I know? I've been there. We've experienced GREAT TRAGEDIES in our family. TRAGEDIES that KNOCK YOU TO YOUR KNEES. To make a long story short. My mother raised us. I am ONE of 7 siblings (4 boys and 3 girls), I'm the only girl living and 3 brothers remaining (I'm baby sis. with one brother younger than me). We lost our Mom, February 6, 2023. I thought we had more years. I never could have prepared for a moment like this, but GOD DID. I told God, "I can't do this." EVERY SINGLE DAY before I lost my mom, "He's Preparing Me" by Daryl Coley would play on the radio. When my mom died... some time after we laid her body to rest, it stopped. The song literally stopped playing. Jesus said, "I WILL "NEVER" LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE." I BELIEVE HIM. It's HARD being the only girl. I have a "RELATIONSHIP" WITH GOD. I could not have made it THIS far without HIM. I am DEEPLY SORRY for your loss. I had a family there, supporting me and a loving Pastor and First Lady and church family. God places people in our lives to help us through our MOST DIFFICULT times. If you don't have a church home, find one who where the unadulterated Word of God is being preached and the preacher is LIVING what he's preaching and teaching. GOD CARES! Don't let anyone tell you how long you should grieve. Jesus did give the children of Israel 30 days to grieve when Moses died. I'm saying that to say this: you don't want your grief to turn into pathological grief. EVEN JESUS WEPT. HE LOVES YOU. TRUST ME... you WILL get through this. JUST "breathe"... ONE DAY AT A TIME ONE MOMENT AT A TIME. KEEP GETTING UP. You have a testimony building inside of you and you're going to be able to help someone else when you tell it. I love you!! You took me back to my childhood also with gospel highway 11.. they gave wilmington chester barbara ward farmer hezekiah walker and Alot of choirs from that region major airplay.. back in the 90's .. I remember them playing tramaine Hawkins rev james cleveland . Lashun pace and all my legendary gospel greats to this day that helped me on my journey with and thru christ..
