Logistics are only important when the power levels are similar. If I am so powerful that none of my enemies can even hurt me, it doesn't matter how well your soldiers can get in position, or how well fed they are. They can stab at me for hours and I will not even be scratched. That said, as long as both sides are even close in power, logistical advantages are worth far more than firepower, tactics, or strategy.

The theocracy was watching all of that. He had disabled his observation defenses. The only words intelligible from the ones observing was "horrors" the city taken by ainz is IMMEDIATELY terrified but after a couple months they are presented with a remarkably well fed and safe (if tense) livelihood. Then they start getting public bath houses with running hot water and indoor plumbing thus raising general wellbeing and lower plague or sickness.

Overlord litteraly changed my life, since without it I wouldn't have gotten into reading, that's why I really appreciate you making these videos. This is just a theory, but I believe that this difference is due to healing magic existing. If you can lower the chance that your firstborn dies from sickness or injury to zero, provided that the healer arrives quikly enough, which for a magic caster shouldn't take to long, than this makes it much safer to invest all of your effort into one child. Also the Kingdom was established by the Theocracy who fought for the survivial of humankind for centuries. So this system might still be an echo from this time.

Curious thing to add is the Ottoman history of intentionally weakening the spares to the point that they would be easily eliminated by the next ruler. They would even time pregnancies in such a way that the heir was likely to inherit the throne as an adult while the spares are still children.

The, in game characters, were in fact just like DND’s game rules. Basically you can create your own character the way you want with vast character design options. Ainzs is a Overlord class “type” but he designed his character specifically for role playing. So In theory there is no real in game lore given to players I believe, and the Overlord class is obtainable. But ofc this is what I think.

I don't know where you were getting your information on the "spare", but you are REALLY misunderstanding. Among a feudal nobility the spare heirs are not just chucked out the door to starve. They are often given educations also. Parents afterall want their kids to do well. But they would be groomed for other careers. For example a lot would be trained for the priesthood or serve in the military. Some of the really low nobles would arrange craftsmen apprenticships. While being personally groomed for a noble position is definitely better than an education as priest or knight, the differences are FAR from insurmountable. In fact many a spare heir have utilized their uncommon educations to their advantage.
