This is our first AIO vs Aircooler comparison benchmark done with 6 different coolers 3 AIO and 3 Aircoolers. But unlike the usual that we do it on test bench this is done inside a more realistic environment. Inside low airflow and high airflow chassis with climate controlled room temperature for us to adapt the tropical benchmark results.

Note: Additional Input about the testing methodology that is not disclosed here but discussed on our Facebook Page Live testing and posts. First this is a test of AIO vs Aircooler in Low & High Airflow chassis yan po ang scope ng topic natin like I said on the video there will be more videos to come about cooling systems like clearances and placements of RADs soon. Please finish the video and spot the brolls for additional clarifications. On this particular video rad placement is not that big deal since GPU is on a silent mode meaning no GPU fans are spinning due to smart fan feature but for transparency it's on top. I also did some testing on front and its just the same temperature result because GPU will be the factor that may change temperature result for the AIO. Further details below: 1. Why no video card included on the tests? Changes in GPU temperature may affect our CPU temperature results. Since topic po natin is comparison that will affect accuracy between coolers specially that we are talking not just about AIOs only or Aircoolers only. It's about different cooling solutions. If we are talking about radiator placement and Air or AIO line up of coolers only then we may have argument to include GPU on the conversation or other specific cooling solutions topic. For me, the real-world winner is the Deepcool Gammax 400 -- with its single fan its only 1 degree from a 240mm AIO and only 2 degrees from a 280mm AIO. I'm surprised the Kraken didn't do much better. With the price difference I rather just upgrade my CPU or GPU. Thanks for this test. Its really an eye-opener. Makes me more confident in choosing a mesh case.

IMHO cheap price is not all the time kasi yung top performer ng Air Coolers (Noctua) eh mas mahal pa dun sa top performer overall (CoolerMaster) pero yun nga lang talaga biggest downside, kapag naka AIO ka, semi paranoid ka sa rig mo.

Based on the video, whether using a an aio or aircooler, you have to remember that the case and case fans are also important based on the data presented. Better use a good quality case with good airflow + fans of reputable brands.

AIO's generally can provide cooler temps by a few degrees compared to aircoolers, but AIO's has a chance of leakage, malfunctioning pumps, and of course more expensive whilst aircoolers are cheaper and its only point of failure is the fan/s

Eto problema ko nagka input lag problem ako simula nung nag upgrade ako mobo, cpu and cooler. Ang dami ko napalitan like upgrade cpu and mobo uli, psu, nvme, mouse. Ngayon nakita namin ang taas pala ng temp ng computer ko yung pc cooler pala na brand ng liquid cooler d pala kilala yun lang pala naging problema. Sa napanood ko kay gamer's nexus you can't beat the law of physics, mas better conductor ang water kesa sa air. Kung effectivity ang usapan both effective 10-15% lang ang advantage vs air kase. Happy to see na may nageeffort na magtest ng ganito para mas madali makapili mga kabayan natin sa cooling system na gagamitin nila. If I may, suggest ko lang din yung additional testing scenario wherein lahat ng coolers ay set to a constant fan speed and/or noise level para mas maging visible yung differences ng mga coolers na itetest. isa pang advantage ng AIO compare sa Airflow is mas matagal nito ma reach ung stable max temperature compare sa Air which is good para ma maximize yung turbo boost...personally AIR cooler ako kasi nkaka tulong sa GPU temp ung CPU air since may extra fan ka sa loob ng case mas mabilis ung pag exit ng hot air sa case which helps na din sa GPU cooling.

Sinuggest sakin ng friend ko na AIO daw kunin ko kasi low airflow case ang nabuild sakin ng computer shop haha. At the time wala pa kong alam sa cases masyado and thought it didn't matter. Pero narealize ko na sana high airflow na lang kinuha ko haha kasi ang init sa Pinas in fairness. Ayos ung difference ng temp eh nasa 5-6 degress talaga. Well ayun anyways, ayokong bumili ng bagong case kasi hassle yung pagtransfer ng mobo and everything, kaya I'm opting for an AIO. Ang ayoko lang sa AIO is pag nasira yung water pump walang ibang visual indicator maliban sa warning sa software at kailangan mo bilin the whole set kahit pump lang ang sira which is not cheap. Unlike air cooler kita mo agad pag busted ang fan. Salpakan mo lang ng case fan pansamantala while waiting for the replacement fan.

Good review. Pero mas ok sana kung compare mo rin sir sa stock air cooler na kasama ng processor. Tulad ng AMD wraith cooler. Coz sa totoo lang.. most user hindi naman need magpalit ng cooler. Malaking tulong to sa mga user na nagtitipid. In may experience, pagka assemble ko ng PC ko.. nilagyan ko agad ng aio cooler. Nasira yung fan ng radiator after few months.. ayaw umikot kaya binalik ko temporarily yung stock ng AMD. To my surprise, mas malamig pa temp compare sa aio. In theory kse, kaya maganda air cooler kase dagdag buga ng hangin sa loob. Kahit papano nahihipan yung motherboard and other components. Just sharing my experience.

I prefer air cooling especially the air coolers from Noctua (a bit expensive tho) since hindi lahat at masyadong may alam about AIO coolers. Mas risky din mag build ng PC na liquid cooled dahil syempre, liquid cooled nga, so expected na may liquid dun sa radiator. At one other reason is kung ung nag build ay hindi masyadong pamilyar sa AIO at hindi alam ang gagawin kung sakaling mag leak. So in summary, mas better talaga ang AIO coolers kaysa sa air coolers, pero kung bago ka palang sa PC building, I'd recommend air coolers for your first build.

Hindi po mas better ang AIO sa air coolers. Myth lang po yan. Noctua NH-D15 matches 240mm AIOs na mas mahal pa( I dont include ID-Cooling AIO because they don't replace your parts if ever a leak occured). If you're going for a 120mm AIO, forget it. If you're going for a 240mm, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 and Noctua D15 will provide the SAME performance for less price and less noise.

@@edvargas4159 1. Maraming kulang ang Methodology nya. 1.1. Fans and pump aren't normalized to 40dB. 1.2. Orientation of the Radiator play a big part( Top intake/exhaust, Front intake/exhaust) 1.3. He didn't include the GPU temperatures which is even more influnced by 1.2. 2. The reason why he got more consistent temps with AIOs is because AIOs can transfer heat faster BUT the longer you do your test the more inconsistent the final results will be. Meaning AIOs are cooler at the start then ends up getting hotter. While air coolers will still give the same result albeit more inconsistent in a small timeframe. 3. @@edvargas4159 Better in an absolute sense, yes there are 360mm AIOs with noctua fans, thicker radiator, and advanced pump that will beat the current best air coolers. Better in a relative sense, No, AIOs perform the same as air coolers and if ever it outperforms it, the difference is minuscule.

Correction .. If case front panel is restricted .. It will affect both AIO and Air cooling performance.. Let me explain What is an AIO? How's the mechanism work? AIO is a upgraded version of air cooling that uses air to cool the CPU but with the added use of Water as the means of transfer of heat to the radiator with the help of a built in pump. What does it mean?? Basically Air uses cooper / nickel pipe to transfer heat from cpu to the heatsink aluminum fins .. In AIO it uses water to transfer heat Means water = pipe/tube for Air cooling And in AIO .. aluminum fins is = to the radiator which absorb the heat from the water.. And in both AIO and AIR cooler.. the Fan is responsible to remove heat from both AIO radiator and AIR cooler Aluminum Fins. And if the Case is restricted and has zero intake (cool air) air flow then both AIO and AIr cooler is affected since both uses FAN as means to remove heat from the CPU. People really misunderstood how water cooling works , most will always think .. oh my case have zero airflow I'm going with water cooler for best performance..

for me, here's the other things to consider in building a cpu. budget place/room where the cpu will be placed ( if its AC'd or not and how hot it goes during summer) if AC'd then you could go for non mesh cases and go get some AIO/air cooler (this is subjective to users but for budget wise and for mid tiers, air coolers are enough) if non AC'd, id suggest to go for mesh cases with lots of fans, and would go for air cooler again (also subjective since dust could accumulate on the radiators) for people with lots of budget and got a good AC'd room, go for the AIOs for better performance and aesthetics.

Noctua D15 on 3950x, on RL-05, full cpu load 30 minutes ay 81deg max sakin. mas mura pa sa aio’s. less things to break.

sorry i did not measure, pero 2 days ago, sobrang init dito sa ilocos. the AC was not on though. full fan config (front and back pull/ sa top push) ng 3x 120mm at 2x 140. Kryonaut thermal compound.

Ang problema, dahil mainit sa Pinas kailangan mag-work ng AIOs ng mas madalas under constant higher temps kumpara sa ibang malalamig na environments. Over time kasi ang water content ng AIOs ay mag-e-evaporate pag mainit ang environment. Dahil dito iiksi ang lifetime ng AIO pag nag-umpisa na mahirapan mag-circulate ng water content ang pump. According sa mga manufacturers, ang AIOs daw ay healthy kapag constantly ay under around 50 degrees Celsius ang working temp nya. Under that temp hindi siya dadanas ng evaporation na sobra sa kakayanin ng pump at structure nya.

AIO wins, pero di ganun kalaki yung margin vs high end Air cooler like the Noctua. Aesthetics? yes AIO, pero sulit padin air cooler if you want value for your money. Sana nasali din yun best selling sa pinas mga ID-cooling AIO's. Anyways, matrabaho yan idol kuddos sayo!

I don't think the result indicate the AIO is better by paying additional 1k+ to lower temp by 1-2 Degree, hindi naman nag thermal throttle. Both performed well depende nalng sa ibang factor like clearance, pump noise, aesthetic, maintenance etc. kung anong pipiliin ng user.
