Okay first of all: I like you. There is such a thing as sub at the first sight. 2nd: They don't want us players who give an ACTUAL shit, who care about the game, because we mean trouble, and we mean work. For us, they would have to keep up the work and care for the game themselves, and that would derive them from the essential, the important: making as much money as possible as easily and fast as possible. I am sadly neither scared nor worried or in any way in distress about this patch, because i know the outcome already. Here's what's gonna happen: By the time 6.0 arrives, the playerbase in the west will shoot up for a short time, due to people just WAITING for something to happen, looking for that oasis on the dry desert that is the western MMO market; they will flock to one of the three - four mentionable KZbin channels that still bother to cover MMOs but don't want to put off their viewers with the things that matter, because they kinda live on those MMOs. So they hype it up, they decieve their viewers by withholding the stuff that is important, and theyre gonna do your first 5 minutes of the video, but only that, during the span of multiple videos. And people will play Aion again regardless, and people are so desensitized, so apathetic about p2w and lootboxes and all the shit thats going on in the western game industry, because of Shadow of War, Battlefront 2, Destiny, and every other triple A publisher, that theres gonna be enough people to buy into the Cash shop and drop a considerable amount. So Gameforge is gonna see the profit in numbers, and they don't need to keep their non-paying playerbase, or the ones that dalready dropped their 5 bucks but won't spend more. And they are TOTALLY COMPLETELY HAPPY when another five year veteran who plays the game for 10 hours a day gets too fed up, fucks off and stops clogging up their servers with their presence, and anther random dude replaces him who will play the game for a week maybe and then leaves, but drops some money into the Gameforge sinkhole before he does so. They are gonna succeed. The money WILL ROLL IN FOR THEM. They will not change their business practices, and the MMO market will remain dry and desolate with the occasional mound of publisher shit stinking up the landscape. But, you know, i'm always here, waiting, in case some game would like to prove me wrong. I'd play warframe but that's not my kind of setting, and also not a real MMORPG. meh. Dungeon Fighter online is pretty cool, they are self-published in the west, no publisher, and their business practices are korean-style. But it's a 2d sidescroller >_____>

I quitted Aion shortly after they released the new servers, which I enjoyed so much until the point this massive paytowin event got live and destroyed me and my friends hard work of 2 months grind. When I checked for some new Aion videos I saw some 6.0 content and instantly got sooo hyped. After watching streams from KR Aion this hype got even bigger. I promised myself to come back to Aion without even thinking about it in 6.0. But the more I think about it the more I am scared. This patch, I mean, it's just unbelievable good. But what are we going to see from this? I have the same fear like you... It will be nothing, complete bullshit and I think it won't even get close to the KR version. That makes me so sad, because until this day I haven't found an MMORPG that is even coming close to the fast paced and highly challenging Aion, in terms of PvP. Aions PvP has been outstanding compared to other MMO's since it's launch (for me). But the fact that one publisher can make this huge potential and enjoyability disappear with no problem is just... arghhh. Anyway, I think in the end there won't be a return to Aion for me. But let's see... Maybe GF proves me wrong. I hope so.... I really do...

yea, you are absolutely right about everything! Still the korean devs did a fantastic job with this patch! :) Korean players must be really happy to fully enjoy the pure version. I was watching some leveling guide video... and everything from lvl1 is soo smooth and feels great to play all the zones... the questing is very streamline and enjoyable... the quick leveling up feels really rewarding. The quests constantly give you some low level gear as you progress, there are nice tutorials that teach you how to enchant the new gear and add sockets, etc... the whole thing just feels amazing

Agree with you on this one. The Korean 6.0 is SO gorgeous! This will be so much fun to play (saying this as a new AION player, started autumn last year). I have played Aion since 2008 the beta Kr, played with lots of breaks, I loved 1. X to 4.5, 5.0+ is "meh", I played 3weeks this 6.0, and I can tell this isn't Aion as we know it. they just deleted EVERYTHING. This game turned into an fast food mmorpg in pvp and pve. 15hours and level 1-80, deleted almost every map and intances or nerfed them again lol (still not ez enough i guess), every craft recipe, except the magical crafting which is nerfed AF. (about the craft, you can't go anymore top left/right of sanctum and in oriel all doors are closed). All pve instances became ez/normal diff. even with my shit ping in kr servers. if some people still care about the story, it doesn't make any sense anymore with the content they deleted, and seems that they don't care, they will just say another dragonlord destroyed all lands and even your items in your inventory, funny thing when you kill Tiamat you get some storm wings stuff?? and markarna that loot some dainatum kk. im not even surprised at this point. i also got a free minion rank A at lvl 80. Also, as a sorcerer in 5.6 EU I can fill 6skillbar, 3 is enough in 6.0. i guess i'll fill with emojis kappa. *Rip Aion 2k07-2k17*

I started play Aion and i have 1 question which class will be good at 6.0? I would like to choose a dps class. (I thought about Gladiator/Sorc/Gunner/EterTech) At the beginning, I want to focus on pve and when i get bigger lvl and set ill play pvp. I would like this class will be fairly good in pve (often taken on instances) and good in pvp. Could someone please advise me? (I apologize for mistakes if I did any, but my english isnt good)

Personally, i was happy to quit Aion. I quit Aion 3 or 4 times ^^' I saw from Felo that video too, and was totaly hyped to, BUT to be honest, even thought NC changed this much (and it looks so fantastic, if it stays how it is ^^ ) i have no hope for us in EU, thanks to GF, i played Metin2 and 4Story (before aion). Due all the shit that they made, i personally hope that NA will be like Corea and hopefully batter ping. Man i was so hyped for this patch once i heard they were going to make Aion feel like the good old times, but then i got so dissapointed after the patch release. First off, they fucked up the pvp. The fights are taking too long. People have too much HP for the amount of damage they do. A Ranger can literally get zerged by 5 people and run away because it takes forever to kill someone. Not to mention Gladiator that you spend more than a minute to drop his HP down then he uses armor of attrition and is full HP in 3 seconds, or even Templar where back in 3.x we used to Crit 4k on a Breakpower, now they barely hit 3,5k when people have almost 60k hp. Above all that, i saw a post on reddit of someone saying that a guy spend thousands of $$ only to get the Kaisinel transformation that makes you extremely overpower with speed cap, 60% casting speed/atk speed i think, etc. The zerg is real, theres no more solo players because you don't have enough time to kill a player before someone else shows up, it takes too long. And before someone say that they are not ''geared'', thats not true at all. They have the legendary red gear enchanted. Remember back in 2.x where you could die to a lv 30 twink if you didn't take him serious? Yeah those times are over, it became similar to Tera where your gear is above your own player skill.

Have you seen the changes to the scrolls and food? Nice Transformations bro. Now, there is no scrolls for attack speed, cast speed, movement speed, crit strike, crit spell, strike resist, and so on, you get me. Instead, we get Transformations. These transformations are basically mobs/bosses from the game which give you base stats such as att and % stats like the ones I named above, the "basic" stats. Each transformation acquired is one mob/boss like I said, in which they give the stats depending on the "class" of the mob/boss. For example, the Kromede transformation will give you phys attack, attack speed and Critical Strike and the Veille transformation will give you magical attributes. But thats not all. The holy Kaisinel transformation, the legendary, the finest of them all, a Transformation which gives 100% Movement Speed - 65% Attack Speed and 40% Cast Speed. Note to yourself, that these % values will make you reach the cap, but guess what, this transformation overrides the cap. Gladiators with 1.1 att speed, Assassins with 0.5 att speed "dagger-sword" and statistically, to get this transformation, you will need around 6800 basic transformations which are stored just like Minions were. 6800 transformations statistically, meaning by the % numbers they should add up, but they can of course still fail. This game is done forever, the difference between having this transformation and not is to absurd to even think. No point even making content on it, there is no hope, and with the Cash Shop, there is nothing to expect that could work properly. 6800 basic transforms which scrolls for 1 will cost probably around 25 Aion Coins like the random minion contracts are, that's 10 euro for 130 Aion Coins, meaning around 2.50 for 25 coins. Hope you will see this. The game was beautiful, it will never be again. For now until Bless release I'm having fun on a private server which is completely fair, that's all that's left from this game. -edit. Ohh and I forgot to say, these transformations make you look like those mobs/bosses, if you use the scroll for it, you can buy the different one which lets you keep the effect and your character looks for about 5x the price =)

To this date and day I have never found another game that gives me the same feels that Aion does.. the music of it, the zones, the faction diversity, it all makes you feel a part of something. I enjoy how they tailored every class to feel unique and different, beautiful skills and very decent , somewhat modern feel of the combat, considering its age and tab targeting. I wish and pray to the prophets and ancestor spirits that some day I would find a game like Aion, but without all the PvP.. I understand it is a PvPvE game and it's a niche type of experience. I dislike that the moment I reach max level and get targeted by AP farmers, the moment I show my nose out of the main base to do a quest, now in this new patch considering it is going to be only 1 zone, I feel that this ganking and forced PvP will be even worse. 6.0 does indeed sound amazing , korean version at least seems to have p2w under control. But considering its focus is mainly PvP, I doubt I will give it another go... such a pity, since I'm in love with its world, soundtrack, lore and overall unique feel. Never to this day have I found a cleric class like the one in Aion, or a muse class similar to this one.. I would even pay a subscription for Aion, if only I could be left outside of the PvP thing.

I stopped playing Aion between 4.0 and 4.8. The best Aion (for me) was 2.X - 3.X. 6.0 sounds Awesome, but i know Greedforge, and they will fuck it up! And i don't know, if i will return with 6.0, because i have to Grind for new gear to compete in PvE and PvP.

I wouldn't mind grinding for gear, but my Guild (Was on Rank 3 on Server Kromede brefore Merge) doesn't exist anymore, and most of the player i knew are gone, too. So i had to find a new Guild and get a new core team to Grind for that epic loot. I had a core team for PvP and one for PvE. My PvP Set is the lvl 60 Soldier Rank 1 Abyss-Gear, and i don't think, i can compete in PvP with that anymore! ^^

MomoRain you don't get the point and your behaviour is the best example for the whole aion community. I played aion since closed beta 1, i know the real grind, but i have no time to find a good legion and a good core team to grind for pvp and pve gear. With the age of 31, the time to play gets shorter and shorter.

Yen :D Best SK Currency :P I agree, I am somewhat hyped for 6.0, even though I quit almost 2(dun know really) years ago. They really put alot of thought in it. Aside of the fact that BDO kinda destroyed old MMOs for me, I might as well try the korean client. Just because I've played Aion since the CB. I don't think NA will change that much, I think they might let it as the Koreans want it, but 6.0 isn't enough for me to completely return to Aion. I still believe Aion is a mmo which deserves to die peacefully. The engine is outdated, this won't change. Ever. I'd rather have information for an Aion 2 in 2020 than Aion 6.0 in 2018. However, as I said, I just have to try 6.0 I played every single patch, aside of anything after 5.3 It's like returning to a definitive or remastered version of a game, just for the nostalgia and the old love & time you spend in it. Thanks for sharing the name of the KZbinr with the guide how to play in AionKR. PS: They even nerfed my class Songweaver (Bard) :D Not even mad about that. Though I might wanna try my old main again, a Ranger. I hate myself for that, I'm always bad in choosing a class.

As a returning player im overwelm with the amount of stuff on the game; coins for gear, blue quests that gives little exp they r irrelevant. all i want is to rush to max lvl n pvp on my spare time. there is no point in lvl 40 or lvl 50 twink for rifting cause there arent any players around that lvl... thats what i think of the game imo :)

in my experience i can tell you that i don't think ncshop is so much different then gameforge one, they just have a different currency. I even think that the nc one is more ptw then the current one on gameforge, but i would not mind if it's funny and rewarding to farm in game. My fear for this patch is that if you dont buy on shop you have a bad time to build your gear, bc it's so hard to farm in game. I even wish that gameforge will let it be more easy for Eu players, i think it's a legend that on korea it is better then on Eu

In NA our events are not nerfed like your events in EU are. Gameforge will probably nerf everything to shit making it impossible not to use cash shop. NA will just put best gear and stones in cash shop gambling like Luna game. Still I'm just glad nothing breaks anymore and that I can craft my gear. Thanks for great videos as always Sywo. Lets hope 6.0 doesn't get ruined in the West.

I finally stoped playing Aion about a year ago. I'm still kind of sad and I would absolutely love to play it again. But like you said - I don't think that Gameforge (and NCWest) suddenly had a change of heart and give us exactly the patch from Korea... I'm just absolutely scared for what's about to come to us with this patch. The problem is that, even though GF and NCS appearantly gife a f*** about the players and the community, people still keep playing and more importantly - PAYING them. So why the f*** would they change anything.... I just fear that I'll never play Aion again, because if they do what I ( and you) think they will do, I will definitly not play this game again (or recommend it to anyone for that matter) for as long as GF/ NCWest are publisher of it. I so wish I would understand korean. I would instantly start playing the game on their servers -.-

No, Aion 5 was good, since they gave us Luna! And long enchanted Archdaeva wings, good flight time, soaring, good to sprint! Tradeable pvp gear, tradeable spinel medals - also good! i think if the entire community would stop buying stuff on cash shop then they would either change it to keep the game alive to make money or they would shut it down and start getting a bad rep for killing games and would hurt them in the long run

I played a many classes besides my main which ever remained a blatant attempt at being fast but still noob ( you need kinah kinah kinah kinah kinah , bla ) SO I don ´t think that I will return to aion and otherwisely I really enjoy my free time now . Guild wars 2 is very nice , Tera , Blade and Soul . Overwatch . finally , they wont do just kuna shop and you know it ,gameforge without p2w is not gameforge and l am pretty sure 99% it will have kuna + normal aion shop. it will always be the same

I agree Gameforge will not deliver it unaltered they are going to fuck it up completely and probably not even have a kuna shop they are going to use luna or have three shops which is going to be shit.

Quna is one time only from quests, don't get your hopes up. The 6.0 version is even more p2w than it was before.

Para los que esten aburrido de estas meirdas de patch en na o eu , hace dias abrio un server latino, con la 4.7 creo, y si lo que estas pensando es si estan los cantalon ( katalam/danaria) si! si estan, cada vez hay mas jugadores y da una nostalgia ( Y FELICIDAD xD) hacer los camps y los pvp en esos mapas, el server es como el retail quizas con mas exp para subir mas rapido pero hay que levear y conseguir todo normaL :D, buscar aion peru en google, en fb tambn hay un grupo :D.... btw sywo Aion r super p2w in 6.0. I'm just waiting for the bless online

And by that way...according to Lya you will be able to exchange the current lvl 80 gear with the new one in 6.0, so of course pay2win players will be 3 months ahead of casual free to play players like me.
