Just built one of these, sounds pretty cool! Easy build. The treble boost and mid boost are more useful then the bass boost for guitar I think, but I could definitely see this on my studio board.

i called it a sonic decrapulator until i tried it on a guitar.I sill have it on a book shelf .Although it really belongs in a stomp box in front of any good tube amp

Never quite understood the point of this type of pedal. It's like have a pedal form of the bass/treble switches on a good amp. I guess maybe if you amp's eq isn't in the right spots or doesn't have a treble or deep switch, and you don't want to get an eq pedal. But then RJ demos them through his PT100 or other fantastic tube amps and could get the same great tone by just tweaking the amp.

@@Stringprodigy Some big name players used to use them in racks on stage in the 80s. I honestly never knew what they did until I watched this demo.

Like any EQ, it gives you more options. If your amp is set up for a crunchy midrangey tone, this can allow you more of a sparkly clean at a pedal press, or whatever. I like it in tandem with a subtle compressor for cleans, but whether it stays on the board or not is still undetermined. I may build a second one to house in a single enclosure with an optical comp.
