Carrots hurt my belly so I used pumpkin and sweet potato in place of carrots. Soooo good! Topped it with a few raspberries, a few blueberries and a few slices of banana. Thanks for sharing this recipe with us!

Thank you so much for this! It tastes so good and hits the spot as I'm healing after finding out I have Celiacs Disease. I love to make a big batch eat a serving put another in the fridge and the rest in the freezer portioned out.

This looks absolutely delicious! Do you always make it fresh or can it be made in the evening and put in the fridge till next morning?

I came to know about my autoimmune condition more than a year ago. After a failed attempt at AIP in 2020 I need to plan and start again. Your videos are inspiring. Unfortunately we dont get some of the items in India like tigernut flour. Actually I am scared to start this protocol. Hope to do it anyway.

It was delicious! Can I freeze this and reheat again? Or just refrigerate? Thanks!
@MicheleSpring5 жыл бұрын
I've had luck with freezing it and reheating it. It gets a tiny bit watery, but I just stir that back in and it's still delicious.

For me breakfast is the hardest!!!! any ideas how to replace the cauliflower?
@MicheleSpring5 жыл бұрын
you could use mashed cooked squash or sweet potato

yes! It freezes quite well actually!

It seems to be delicious. I would like to try it. But I always wonder about cauliflower for those who have Hashimoto. Is it ok for them to have it on the first elimination phase?
@MicheleSpring2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is - the whole cruciferous veggie thing being bad for Hashi's is a terrible myth that ugh, frustrates me to no end. I really need to make a video about it. Some well meaning bloggers started that rumor like a decade ago and it went viral - but has no backing scientifically. Sure, if you eat like a truckload of raw cruciferous veggies each day it WILL affect your thyroid. Or if all you eat for a week is kale smoothies, then yes, it will also do so. But if you eat a normal persons' amount of veggies it will have very little effect negatively, if at all, and the benefits of eating them FAR outweigh the reasons not to. Her site is currently down, but when it comes back up I recommend reading this article: thepaleomom.com/goitrogens-cruciferous-vegetables-thyroid-disease/

@@MicheleSpring yes, it's confusing between 2 groups that one is with and other is against. I take in very low portion but i take iodine directly after it . Same with sweet potatos and strawberry that are available in aip but still counts as goiters. So it's really confusing. waiting for the video.

I cannot eat cauliflower ..any other options ? i can; teat more than two bites of sweet potato or cauli or broccoli. I am so sick I cannot cook . I have to just be like grab and eat - there fore cannot stick to elimination phase,

What can I use instead of Cauliflower? I am allergic to Cruciferous Vegetables.
@MicheleSpring3 жыл бұрын
Did you ask this the other day and delete it? I swear I answered this just the other day and I can't find it anywhere! (Or maybe I'm going crazy?? haha). But you could use some mashed sweet potato, butternut squash, pumpkin, or even turnips (all cooked and mashed) as alternatives.
@MindWithStars3 жыл бұрын
@@MicheleSpring Awesome! Thanks so much. You did answer a question of mine on another video.. maybe you remember that one! Lol.

Can I omit the cauliflower as I’m allergic to it?
@MicheleSpring3 жыл бұрын
Sure - you'll have to replace it with something if you want the same "bulk" though - some ideas are mashed sweet potatoes, mashed butternut squash, mashed broccoli, or mashed turnips.

Is this breakfast for beginner?
@MicheleSpring3 жыл бұрын
A beginner on AIP or a beginner in cooking? Either way, yes 😀 It's easy and it's great for the elimination portion (beginning portion) of AIP!

@anitacruz32622 жыл бұрын
It looks delicious , and I think ID a good dose of getting your healthy vegetables in the morning,but I am wondering that if you are in a gluten free diet, why don’t you use gluten free oats.
@MicheleSpring2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately many of us (especially with autoimmune disease) still can't tolerate any grains very well. There are proteins in a lot of grains, like zein in corn and avenin in oats (and casein in dairy products), that look extremely similar to gluten to the body. So eating them can confuse our bodies and trigger them to start or continue an autoimmune attack, which means a whole host of unpleasant symptoms (sometimes for months after a single serving!). Not to mention that oats are super high and quick burning carbs that can wreak havoc on anyone, but especially anyone with glucose tolerance issues (which is common with a lot of the hormonal autoimmune diseases like Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism/thyroid disease). So while some of us can tolerate something like GF oats on a very occasional basis, many of us choose to remain grain- and dairy-free to make sure we stay at the best of our health. That's what the Paleo, Whole30, and Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) diets are - grain-free and dairy-free diets.
