I'm 6'5" (195), mid 50s, and weigh between 230 and 250. I owned the previous 10'2" 2+1 version of this board and loved it. Ben (now Duke) and Steve Boehne over at Infinity are some of the best shapers out there for bigger older guys. I'm happy the board is back in general production.

Thanks for the review, you put words to my experience. I purchased this board from Glen at Surfed Out, Braunton, UK. At 80kg I'm the light guy :) who aspires to longboarding, but wanted an all rounder, most of my surfing is at The Wave (Bristol UK), which is fresh water wave machine IE less bouncy than sea. This board has ticked all the boxes. Purchased purley on Glenn's recommendation, based on his knowledge and my needs. Best surf investment so far ... Thanks again for an informative review, and to Glenn for showing me the light.... Oakleigh

Would this compete with the In the Pink board?

I've ridden a friends poly Takayama and they are really different. The ITP is much more of a traditional long board that excels in nose riding. I think it's only a single or a 2+1. The Aipa will carve a lot better. It's also got the option of being a quad. The Aipa also has a lot more volume for it's length so if you're a bigger guy (like me) that's a plus.
