Hi Mate Good video. If you slide a length rubber bicycle inner tube over the silencer and then heat shrink tube over the top of that and heat it to shrink it on you will get even more improvement. With this two layer cover you should get less ping.

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing. Yeah your like me, I gotta know for myself if something works, or if I can better my guns in some way. As for now, I feel (my opinion), that Air Arms is a great maker of airguns, I own a 1.77cal S200T, 1.77cal S200bullpup, 22cal S200 with an FX smooth twist barrel, grand mix, and the big daddy, S510AA in 22cal. They are all so darn accurate!! I am sure you are happy with yours as well. Looking forward to seeing more from you soon. Great place where you live!

Excellent vid, cheers. There's a great tip about disassembling the silencer by making a key with an m8? bolt on the AAOC site

Interesting that you drilled the washers out to 8mm. Weihrauch moderator has 7mm holes because the same Mod is used for .22 and .177. If you are using a .177. You can go down to 5.5mm but perfect alignment is needed or the Pellets can clip.

You can buy the mag that indexes from the left or light and thoughts on one indexed no from the right. Steve

I think I’d like to see another test using a decibel meter before I start modifying mine, personally I thought the original was quieter?

@Jack70903 Hi jack, The beauty of the AA silencer is once youve got the caps off you can try as many different things as you like. I just copied the HW silencer internals but maybe i`ll try more baffles and see if it makes any difference. Thanks for watching.

Maybe a better way to do it without damaging the edges would be to glue a nut onto the flat end then heat then unscrew the nut. On the other end heat up then insert an Allen key into the grub screw hole and unscrew. once finished heat up around the nut and knock it off. Just a suggestion.

I just got one of these brand new from a seller in mewe and I can see it's clipped the exit end. I don't know what if can cause it in silencer

That system works well I had that in my silencer on my m10 just 34 ftlb. 22 seems to wreck the hair curlers after a while

qestion. what if u added mabye 2 more spaces in the silencer? is more better? i dnt know that much about silencer internals

instead of felt you should use scouring pads as they are less dense and will not take up air capacity in the outer tube.

Well theres no way that those end caps are coming off. Used the heat gun till I couldnt touch the silencer with my bare hands and still wouldn't turn. Think I need to hit the gym lol. I decided to leave it and camo it instead ;-)

If the HW silencer is so good then why not just buy a Weihrauch silencer with a Air Arms S400 ½" UNF Silencer Adaptor? Works out about the same cost as the Q-Tec and you'll have a bona fide "industry standard" silencer with no messing about damaging the tube ends

Long since got rid of the air arms. To be honest i liked the look of the AA silencer better.

Simon Thompson some people already have aa silencer so why spend £50.. when you can just modify the aa silencer for a couple quid 😉☺

There not silencers they don't silence anything, they are moderators as they moderate the sound think I would of gone to my local gun shop gave him my old mod against the cost of the Weihrauch mod.

Save yourself the effort and buy a weirauch silencer..... 100 percent better than AA ... Way more better at silencing.
