I think about the loss to the nation. A focused and committed special operations support airmen, awarded an air medal with multiple deployments and only 23. He could gone on to be a special operations pilot, a special operator, a teacher, business owner, father and so much more but he was taken from our nation so early, like many others. The fact he’s fellow airmen, special operations community, tell you how impactful he was while alive. I was 23 when I deployed to Iraq nearly 20 years ago and I know my family would have been angry, furious, and devastated if I had to been taken in such a senseless act after surviving my time in Baghdad.

Anyone who says that the military has no authority, has apparently not worked for any of the dept of defenses special investigations services. As a former, I can say unequivocally that AFOSI is darn sure conducting a separate parallel investigation on this incident - we are mandated by Sec Def. to do such. Most people don't know this but military personnel are considered Govt property/assets. If anything happens to that asset, or if that asset acts a fool - it is the charge of that individuals military branch investigative services to investigate the incident(s); it Does Not matter if it was on base, off base, or even if the troop was on official leave/ pass. Out of courteosy, Federal investigate services allow local law enforcement to take the primary lead on the investigation, but the military does their own parallel investigation in most cases. I've participated in many of these and it is not an easy job - no bull.

Actually he didn't make a Terrible decision close your eyes for a minute your in your home and face chatting maybe cooking in your bedroom and hear sudden banging on door you look out Peep Hole no bodies there you go on then again you hear banging on the door this time getting your weapon, open the door with weapon pointed downwards the cop says back up you do that then 6 shots... Ok think about the big picture if the Cop would of stayed in front of the door he would of seen and known it was the police and would of answered with a weapon in his hand ....The Police are very Rogue and have habits that go unchecked to often and if that's the way they taught him at Academy then shut it down a rewrite the course so this does not happen again...Be part of the solution not the problem if you don't get it now you never will ......

Bet he won’t bring a gun to the door again knowing the cops were at the door.
