I’ve been flying professionally for 26 years, retired Air Force pilot, an instructor in 3 major turbine airframes, both military and civilian, and I’ve never seen such an excellent series of instructional presentations-EVER. You guys have cracked the code and I am very well impressed. I’m also an active Cirrus pilot G5/G6 and cannot say enough positive things about them. It’s as fun and enjoyable as any jet, and made so simple and easy to manage, gives me more time to enjoy the passion of aviation to its fullest. Thank you, Team Cirrus!

So why can’t you have the recirculate on in flight?
@CirrusAircraft4 жыл бұрын
Great question. Per the SR Series POH, recirc stays OFF to minimize the chances of inflight CO exposure in the cabin. In the rare case that unwanted exhaust gasses would ever find their way into the cabin, the recirc system would compound the issue and restrict replenishing fresh air into the cabin.

What is the difference between the 0 and 1 setting on the selector, as they both seem exactly the same?

An engineering advice would be to have a timer on the recirculation system. So even if someone forgets to turn it off while flying, after a couple of minutes, say 10 minutes or 15 it turns off automatically.

Anyone know what old cessna's (like a 152/172 from the '70s) have for heat, I know most don't have AC, only air flowing form outside. An explainer and/or a video would be great :)
Could you tell me why don't we use ACM instead of conventional Air conditioner for house and cars?

Same as car air conditioning

Well yeah, that's how all aircons work. My only question is where specifically is the condenser placed. They didn't really go into enough detail in this video though...

The A/C system in the Cirrus costs $45k...why? Weight. The system ways a fraction of what the one in a car weights and that takes some exotic tech and materials.
