@6079 Smith W White noise is different from a ringing, which is high-pitched. Believe me, it's hard to fall asleep to a high-pitched whistling. I like to have a fan running near me at night to create white noise because it does help to drown the sound

This beautiful video has become my go-to safe place when I’m having a panic attack. I’ve got a little lower back massager that I put on, roll on some lavender oil and I imagine I’m sitting on the end of that bed in this lovely room. I allow the anxiety to move through me, reminding myself that I’m safe, and It does the trick every time. There’s something about this room that’s so inviting and soothing and I love how cleansing the rain sounds. You can almost smell it.

Comfort, peace, childhood growing up in historic house (built 1860’s) w/o central AC, also helps to reduce disruptive noise. I’ve always slept to a fan. Now prefer white noise subliminal affirmations ie:”Bible White Noise“ but use fan chs when I need a break from subliminal messages. Also sm fan bedside table. 👍🏼💤 Study sounds interesting. ☑️

I’m in the UK after years living n the states. Homes don’t have ac here and boy do I miss it and most definitely the calming sound. There are sound machines of rather high quality available. I've purchased two over the years, and they really do help. My current machine has a selection of 11 different sounds, from rain to "cityscape at night". I also wear hearing aids specifically set up for tinnitus sufferers. I even sleep with them in. Otherwise, I'd just lie there and listen to the ringing, which in my case, is very, very high pitched, almost like a dog whistle.
