Because it's an animation, the plane and ammo are made of digital bits, which makes them (in practice) free. The animated incident is also unrealistic. In real life the plane wouldn't have survived the situation. This kind of air defence cannons also usually work at least in pairs, which would have made survival of the plane even more unrealistic.

The C-Ram at the ADA School Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I got to watch it in action fairly close. Unbelievable fire power it’s on a Wheel vehicle. When it fires you can hear it all through Town at Lawton , Oklahoma which butts up to Ft. Sill. I wouldn’t not want to be on the other end of that either. Thank you Raytheon , what a incredible military piece .

They do. But they are not designed to do so in proximity to aircraft. They explode so they don’t cause damage when they come back down to the surface.
