Air drying rack for green lumber - S1E007

Welcome to Livin' Off Grid... in today's video we're looking at the new air drying rack for the excess lumber coming off my sawmill when making square logs for the cabin walls. We also discuss future plans to add a second air drying rack and convert this one into a solar kiln to dry lumber even quicker.

I am honored to make the first (that I can see) comment on this video. My comment is; It's a FANTASTIC platform for the purpose you've described. I won't tell you about the first question that came to my mind... (why isn't there any flooring on the floor joists?)! Because I now realize what a silly question it would be. And my next question is... are those screws or nails I see fastening the rim to the joists in the front? But I suppose not many people are as concerned about this issue as I am. I wonder why? I hope you've used a lot of nails. Of course I'm playing with you! Have a blessed day today and always!

Thank you for the comment. I appreciate your interest in my channel. Those are in fact 3-1/2 inch decking screws and three per each end of the joists..
