What about cleaning the air handler? Not cleaning that out seems to be like getting an oil change but not changing the filter. Thanks.

I actually work at stanley steemer, and do air duct cleanings daily. Unless the customer themselves request that we don't clean the airhandling unit, we clean them at every job. typically we use high air pressure to blow the dust off the whole unit, and then suck everything up with the big vacuum. At the location I work, air handling units being cleaned will run about 120 dollars a unit, aswell as 26 dollars for each vent afterwards

Had a guy from Stanley Steamer come out for a so-called estimate. The guy was very rude & dismissive. He gave me an estimate of almost $700 to clean 7 Vents, return vent, and th the clothes dryer vent. He said if I chose to have the work done, I would have a mess to clean up when they were finished. I would never have them do the work. He immediately came in with an attitude and started walking through the rooms without even saying what he was going in my rooms for. He went in my bathroom & pulled a register from the floor. He said he didn't need to come out to do an estimate as I was told when I made the initial call. He said we could have just told you over the phone how much it was going to be and I said that's not what I was told when I made the call. Seems like a lot these companies around Atlantic County are just the worse. They do a lousy job if they even show up & they overcharge. ☹️

I’m an estimator and we have a base price of $495 for 10 vents and the dryer vent should’ve been $100 so 700 is insane.

I had this service done a week ago. Our house has a basement furnace with no air conditioner. They ran the suction through left branch of the main T branch vents. Somewhere in the process debri fell down the center T duct onto the furnace blower fan. All the tech did was turn on the furnace to test it. He deliberately didn't wait for the blower fan to come on. When we first used the furnace for heating the house, the blower fan comes on and there was a whole lot of noise. The debri that the blower fan didn't blow out is probably still in the furnace somewhere. For those people with air conditioners, the debri is probably on top of the condenser coil. The debri never reaches the blower fan BUT is STILL there!

I’d rather deal with a company that strictly does air duct cleaning, not carpet, grout, painting,etc. if you needed heart surgery, would you go with a surgeon who’s a jack of all trades, master of none, or would you rather a surgeon who focus solely on the heart, it’s a no brainer.

The air duct cleaners are strictly air duct cleaners they don’t do carpet and flooring stuff too

I need it to remove fiberglass dust that contaminated my home from leaking from a foam bed. Class action lawsuit is still going against Ashley home furniture. It got it my vacuum and dryer and became small enough to breathe in and almost killed my pets before we found what was happening. I have to use the heat soon and will pay top dollar if it doesn't blow back into my house after months of cleaning

Actually pets contribute to the debris especially if you have floor vents. If you do not have pets and the house is fairly new, I was told that you do not really need the service until we get to the decade mark.

@@judithkurtis1175 not hard man. You do have to know how the system works but once you know that it’s repetitive. Clean supply vents, main trunk line, and return ductwork and finish with the furnace.

@iithelegend8068 Жыл бұрын
Just because the dirt bags aren't fully inflated, doesn't mean they're not doing the best job. Smaller houses don't need the RPMs to be higher, the bigger the system, the higher the RPM needed.

Do your research & find a small owned business with a good reputation. They'll care more & they'll do a way better job because they car a lot more.
