I agree do not retract flaps until clear of runway!

I don’t like using the word flare! It’s better to use round out or transition to slow flight! Them look down to end of runway for drift and use your peripheral vision for sink rate whilst depleting energy and slowing in slow flight and raising the nose as speed bleeds off!
