From a blind person‘s point of you, there is nothing like the sound of a good 12 V 71. It’s specially, with TwinTurbo ‘s. I currently live in Boise Idaho. I have been blind all of my life. I have loved big trucks since I was two and three years old. I have a boy who is five and a girl who is nine. My five-year-old boy loves trucks just as much as I do. If you guys ever come back through this way, would you be willing to look us up, so that we can have a look at one of your trucks? My little boy would just be tickled to death. put the 12v71 in it’s very rare to see one of those engines let alone in a cabover, and it’s a older truck and deserves a old but very powerful engine.

If you’re going to use it everyday I myself would go CAT if I were putting an engine in it. More reliable better working engine all the way around. You’re making that into a really cool tractor. Go with twin turbo 12v71 it will be wild and there’s a few yrs yet before that legend of a son of yours is driving commercially so plenty of time to update to a modern engine that will perform reliably for every day haulage 💪💪💪💪

Black should be silver. Im retired Air Force. B52 engine mechanic and vehicle mechanic. We actually had a 1951 International twin stick tandem tractor and an Astro 95 at Robins AFb Georgia back in the day. The ‘51 was tough to drive!😳👍

12.7 Detroit the way to go. Those who want the two-stroke Detriot probably never lived with one. I did, drove a 1978 White Road Boss with a 318 Detroit and then a GMC Brigadier which caught fire, and I wasn't sad to see it burn. The job I was working at the time replaced the Brigadier with a Mack R model with the 300 plus motor. It was an upgrade, ran better, pulled good, and had ice-cold a/c and a good aftermarket am/fm stereo

I think that the 12V71 would be great if its going to be a toy/show truck. If its going to be a working truck I think the Detroit or the Cat would be the wiser choice.

Got a ton of $$$$ in mud flaps for the Peterbilt. You can spend a lot of money on chrome for any truck, just looks better on the older ones. Would have put mud flaps on the front boxes versus the back one's. You can deflect road debris from fuel tanks

i like the stripes keep the deep groove tires on it and keep the old school motor 2 stroke detroit motor just turn it up love the sound of them oh if your ever looking for a sharp ride after cabbies are done get yourself a mack superliner with the mack v8 motor man i had a friend who had one with 7 inch mitor cut straight pipes pulling flat bed hauling 44,000 lbs of mulch and potting soil it was heavy but truck had a sound it was sweet

Air Force truck looks really good, I like the color combination. Engine wise, if you plan on going over the road with it, I'd say go with the 12.7 Detroit or the 6NZ, if it's going to be a show truck then go with the 12v71. Peterbilt looks good to with new visor.

I like the motor Braxton wants!!! Paint the frame gloss black with the polished tanks and a chrome deck plate would look sweet !!! Use the blue you used on truck to paint some parts to accent truck!! Tim...my petes a 2000 379..3406e ...bridgstones or firestones no good... BFGoodrich with beads (some call them glass marbles) as balancing weights...never had wear problems even with kingpin issue...tire you have on your pete remind me of late 90's version of Generals...good tire back then...

Use bed liner for steps into cab so they are not slippery when wet. Suggest Air Force paint ghosting on the cab back to tribute the Air Force perhaps with F15, F16, Raptor, B1B, B2, B52, B2B, F4, A-10 Thunderbolt II, F117, etc
