Air Force Promotion Found out I made E6 / TSgt in under 8 years

One of the best supervisors and mentor's I ever had made SSgt in 3 years and TSgt in 5 years. He was a fabulous supervisor and a mentor like no other. Great guy. Age and TIS literally mean nothing. Don't ever think, I am not ready yet. You will never be ready. Grow into the rank. Good job.

Neat Story. I also made E-6 SSg in under eight years. Three years, seven months, 25 Days in the USAF and three years 10 months in the US Army. I had made SGT E-5 in eight months after enlisting in the US Army. Oh Yeah, I retired with 21 years four days of active duty time as a Chief Warrant Officer3.
