Nice job Rick. I got one of those knives. Now i want it to look like yours now. I bought it new probably 30 years. I lived in Syracuse and the Camillus factory of Syr. was a suburb Lot of sad people when they closed up shop But mine is still like new so I won't be redoing mine any time soon. Now have to see what else you got for videos. I enjoyed this one. Thanks

Really great watching you work and taking so much care with it -- only one thing to mention: you put the finger guard on wrong-way up. The holes are supposed to be on top so it can be lashed to a pole to make a spear with the sharp edge outward. Never mind. I would be very surprised (and not a little worried) if the owner wanted to use the knife as a spear. Great workmanship -- thanks for an interesting video.

I’ve seen some other guys cut the leather away with a bandsaw so you don’t have to sand so much! Nice work 👍

I hate sharpening my US Air Force survival knife. It’s really hard. My KA-BAR is easier to sharpen.
