Air France Premium Economy- Worth the Upgrade??

When I do fly to Paris via the states( connect in Boston) I do AirFrance because I like the professionalism/friendliness and the language. I’ve been thinking about upgrading to Premium maybe for the extra legroom/personal space and their meal options are way better then the us airlines (economy class). I will probably the try premium on the next flight and supposedly the newer airbus have slightly upgraded seats within premium. Plus- I like practicing my French before landing in Paris.

You have loads of competition by other KZbinrs however don’t let that discourage you. I know there’s not a lot to be said about economy/premium economy, it’s of course more interesting reviewing Business 😊

No matter the fare, the premium economy on AF does not come with lounge access, unless I'm missing something...

Those seats are great if you have the bulkhead seats. But I've seen in other vids the person in front of you in your lap if they recline.

We flew premium economy from Paris to JFK in October and it was terrible; definitely not worth the extra. The seat barely reclined compared to our Delta flight over and no footrest. When we asked the flight attendant about the lack of any recline she said, “you should have booked first class!”. We’ll never fly AF again.

From my experience, airfrance service is excellent. Id recommend either giving it a shot in business or economy. However premium isn't worth it. Economy is already great with airfrance. I know you had a bad experience but I really suggest you give it one last shot

It is surprising to hear that full fare Premium economy of Air France would get complimentary lounge access?. Hmm would you happened to get an add-on for a lounge access on top of your upgrade into Premium Economy?.

En 2023 viajé, ida y vuelta, de París a Buenos Aires. Buen espacio para estirar las piernas porque estaba en el asiento que da al mamparo. El reposapiernas no cumple con su función, ya que sólo se despliega 45°. No es verdad que entreguen auriculares con cancelación de ruido, de hecho eran chinos, sin marca y de pésima calidad. Pero lo que más debo destacar es EL SERVICIO (o la FALTA DE...). Poquísimos auxiliares de vuelo, que deben atender Premium y Economy. Te tiran la bandeja de comida, te sirven media copa de bebida... y DESAPARECEN. La comida: extraña (ensaladas agridulces) y sobre todo: POCA. Menos mal que había llevado galletas. A LA VUELTA: todo igual, mismo asiento... pero sin agua en los baños (en todos). Entre la comida principal y el horrible desayuno, NO SE ofrecen NADA de NADA para picar. Este año debo viajar nuevamente, pero obviamente que no lo haré en esta descuidada aerolínea semi-estatal.

Just took a trip(May 10, 2024) from Detroit to Paris via Air France. My wife and I purchased "Premium Economy" seating. In short it was the worst trip I have had in my 52 years of Air travel. The seats were uncomfortable. The movement of the seat is a joke. We were exhausted when we arrived in Paris 8 hours later. You can't lean back the seat. The food was ok. We traveled back to Detroit on Delta's "Premium Economy." What a world of difference. The seats were larger and you were able to tilt back the seat. Leg room was larger. A final note on Air France. We had two Air France Flights on the continent along with the previous mentioned over the Atlantic Flight. All three planes were uncomfortable. Small seats. But what was most upsetting was that these Air France planes were the dirtiest planes I have even seen. I'll never fly Air France again.

About to jump on a 14 hr flight from Singapore to Paris - wondering if I should've gone for 1st class, it would've been only 500$ more.. anyways, will see how goes in Premium Economy and come back to comment..

Yes, it was either +400 for PE or plus 900+ for business class.. So anyways, i finished my flight and am in Paris now waiting for my next one, here's my brief summary: - Food: nothing extraordinary but nothing bad about it either, would give it a 7/10. - Seat: 7/10 even though it was very spacious, they dont recline but i still had a good sleep. - Amenities: 7/10, what i disliked was that the wifi stopped working throughout the last 2 hrs of the flight, unclear why they turned it off. Generally i think the upgrade was worth the 400$ and i will do it again anytime possible in the future, as long as the prices aren't too crazy. Additional feedback: As i entered and left the plane looking at the business class seats, they looked horrible to me. I don't think BC on airfrance is worth the money unless its relatively cheap.

You flew business not first for that additional fare. First is an entire different world and you can not upgrade from Premium Economy

I believe Air France Premium won’t get you access. You should be able to purchase a pass at the lounge if it’s not already full. Hope this helps!
