Nice another creative build and thanks for letting me know that the peltier device can make heat into electricity!
@PenguinDIY3 ай бұрын
Peltier is basically optimal for cold production and does not perform well for electricity production. Thermoelectric is more optimal for electricity generation and it is basically made for electricity generation and it is different from peltier.

Great job and precision! Thanks for that video. I have only one concern with that idea: what happens to the cold on another side of Peltier module. If the electricity production reaches a sufficient levels, the temperature on another side of module can be very low, resulting in condensation of humidity in the air and water drops inside or creating ice on the wall of blower's structure .(not speaking about blowing out the cold air with fragrance). Maybe, I'm wrong and such candle's heat will never reach such levels of energy production and even water drops will not occur.
@R0nBurgundy3 ай бұрын
That's not how the Peltier module works when generating electricity from heat. The "cold side" will actually be warm and needs to be cooled in order for electricity generation (hence the heat sink on the "cold" side) otherwise the two sides will become the same temperature over time and no electricity will be generated. It generates electricity from the temperature gradient; it doesn't create one.
@PenguinDIY3 ай бұрын
This module is thermoelectric and does not generate cold and is only used to generate electricity, unlike the peltier module. For example, if the hot part of this module is 100 degrees, the cold part will be 40 degrees and this temperature difference will generate electricity.

so why do you need to blow on the TEG, just blow on a second pelton turbine, which is linked to the other fan. also the candle powered pelton turbine can be outside, and axle connects the power to an inside AC fan. yep a wood furnace running a pelton turbine, powering whatever AC or other things you have. if you make the fan blow the TEG heat, then its self-powered space heater.

It is combustion powered, not free energy, but it is a really neat project, I like it. I would make more room between the candle tube and the metal plate. Also, a heatsink in this same plate, taking the candle heat surely would made the device more efficient. The fan is stealing part of the energy as its wind is cooling the hot side too. Several small things could be done to get more efficiency, but, maybe would not be so visualy appealing.

This video is not meant to show free energy. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. It is transferred from one form to the other. Heat energy is converted to electrical energy and with the heat from the candle it is warming up the aromatic oil and the electric current is spinning the motor to move the air.
