Wow - just watched this 7 months later! I put baked beans in mine and did a fried egg separately which I added afterwards. I am 81 and when I was a child we had a Jaffle Iron that made a sealed round toasted sandwich with butter both sides of the bread and that’s the secret isn’t it for the amazing buttery flavour. Your recipe produced the identical flavour. I like the cocktail stick method! Thanks for all your videos which I watch regularly. You are such good friends to me. I live in Castle Cary, Somerset. I often talk to my husband about my friends Martin and Sharon.

Sharon I and my family have been using a BUTTER BELL for over a century. Look online you can leave it out on a counter and bell part holds butter base holds cold water. Perfect butter summer or winter.

Using a piece of kitchen foil under the basket helps with browning, especially with meat. It also helps to keep the bottom of the main basket reasonably clean.

I use a very thin layer of Mayonnaise on both sides to make it golden Brown Rather than butter.I use the 5 min pre heat button then turn it over and use the pre heat again bless you Sharon

Yes, I put mayo on the outside as well making sure I spread it right up to the edges. 4 mins on 200 then 2 mins on other side but I use thin sliced bread.

Love seeing an in-depth prep for a sandwich that is easy, well thought-out and just perfect in the end...beautifully done, I'd have that on the regular...(I can believe the savings on energy; the smaller areas needing to be heated, the smaller footprints of the induction hob, the airfryers...without having to heat up a very large oven or cooktop it's pretty clear...and you've not really lost any productivity when cooking...who knew kitchen work could evolve from fixed appliances to portable without any issues...✨🤙🏼✨👌🏼✨ that toastie was gorgeous...

You can't go far wrong with a toasted Sandwich . One observation not a complaint or criticism. Your Yorkshire tea ( best in the world I might add ) instead of squeezing the tea bag before taking it out let it brew for at least 3 minuets but don't squeeze it out it makes the tea bitter unless you like it bitter . Keep them coming guys 👍

Same with the green tea. But let the water cool to 180 degrees before pour over the tea bag or just don’t let the water come to a rolling boil! Green tea is my go too tea most definitely.

Love this, here’s a tip baby; don’t put your butter in the fridge. That way you don’t have to microwave it. We’ve always kept our butter in the dish covered on the counter. Happy days🎉

i use my fingers to squash down the middle of the bread that stops it curling up and it crisps up nicely, it also holds raw egg in the middle and cooks nicely, add some pre cooked bacon and then add that as well then air fry it, if you want more filling i dice up cheese and luncheon meat and add that to middle and cook it.
