Thanks mol waiting how can i try i n airfryer also one suggession that airfryer is not healthy i had the same one but i replaced with steel one cuisinart airfryer

I made small batcht in air fryer, but I went back to traditional method. Air fryer vadas tasted dry , tasteless whereas deep fry one are more satisfactory. Thank you though for the recipe :)

@@anamikag4208 true! anything cooked in deep oil fry always taste good and they have a nice crispy texture. But when we dip this vada in hot sambar, it’s yum and very nice to enjoy!

My vadas got stuck at the base . Can you identify the reason for same .

If we let it cool down, it will come out easily else when we try to take when still hot.. vada will be stuck and we have to put the basket upside down and gently take the vada out. Or we can use this pan www.ebay.com/itm/234394064471

Hi Remi ... Can we make this same recipe with silicone donut moulds? ... Or do you think something will need to be adjusted for using them? ... There are people who steam first and then use the air fryer but that seems redundant and time consuming to me. You didn't do that here and your Vada turned out good. Your opinion?

We can use silicone mold, but the batter for vada is thick I would check if the other side also get evenly cook or we have to flip the vada once the top layer is air fried. Air fried vada as soon it’s cooked and cooled inside air fryer, we have to take it out and soak in sambar. As this is oil free, will tend to get harder if we keep longer out.

Doing steam and then frying, I find it too time consuming. When we soak in sambar these air fried vadas also turn so good 😊

Thanks for replying ... You think a metal based or carbon based mould will work better? They heat a little more evenly.

It would be nice if we can place a parchment paper below the vadas, that ways it will be easier to take or if we place directly, wait for it to cool down and then it will be easy to take, if hot it will stick to the basket. Ivde USil Fahrenheit is shared :)

This one how she makes will not workout, do not try this way...you will need to steam also batter should not be this watery that's why the placing of vada us not shown in video. BTW its not sambur it's sambhaar
