Had the pleasure of playing against the Gaits at Canadian Nationals many years ago.

Gait is a legend! Both Gait's are legend's! But those bucket helmets are the star of the show!!!! I can't believe that I wore one of those my first year in HS. I'm no legend but my first Yr I HS i looked like one!

I was there.. this was the semis and it was like 90° in the dome because there was no air conditioning

No air conditioning in the Carrier Dome?
@gregorythomas58046 жыл бұрын
Isn't Ironic? Carrier was once a major employer in Syracuse and they won the naming rights when the dome was built. However, the original dome needed a certain level of air pressure to remain inflated. That is why you would basically get pushed out of the building when exiting. The renovations they are doing (or planned) are supposed to include AC - www.syracuse.com/orangesports/index.ssf/2016/09/carrier_dome_renovations_will_include_air_conditioning.html

Rollback shot, jump shot, spin moves, side arm, sling shot? These guys were just big , strong and fast....

@@jeffholt3841 bro you don’t know what your talking about. The pockets were so shallow back then so they had to be highly skilled.
@jeffholt38413 жыл бұрын
@@blueunison9075 I played in the 80s. Pockets were the same. You are thinking of wood sticks. The players had really low skill sets compared to today. Most college players wouldn't make a good high school team today. Lax was a spring sport for football players. Big strong athletes, average to low stick skills and dodging skills.
