Air India Airbus A350-900 operated to Chennai from Mumbai as AI589 and departed to Bengaluru as AI589.
This Air India Airbus A350-900 is the first A350-900 for the airline painted in its new logo and livery. Air India has placed an order for 20 Airbus A350-900.

This Air India's A350 aircraft is a great looking bird. Actually this aircraft was originally destined for Aeroflot but due to the sanctions it was diverted to Air India. Air India agreed to accept the aircraft with the same cabin fittings as ordered by Aeroflot because had they insisted for a change in cabin design (including the business class) then Air India would not have received the aircraft this soon (would have had to wait longer to receive the ordered one with their choice of cabin interiors). Let us hope that the balance 5 aircraft (again originally destined for Aeroflot) would also come before end April 2024.

It is. A350-900 use -84 while the A350-1000 use Trent XWB-93. It’s the thrust rating mentioned.

It’s my assumption as Akasa too didn’t have water cannon salute since the beginning as they preferred sustainability. Chennai has had quite a number of A350 operators. Asiana, Air Mauritius, Air France, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways have all deployed their A350 to Chennai

It’s for pilot training. They have been doing this regularly with their B787s for month or so. It isn’t a revenue flight

@@wfg7304 I am an AvGeek and no that landing was not that smooth. But it was more like fair. It looks smooth from outside but if you were inside, you would have felt that it was rough. Even the vloggers that travelled today mentioned that the landing was a little rough. Bro stop yapping if you know nothing about aviation. The left wheels and right wheels didn't touch at the same time. It gives a little rough experience. And I am in no way disrespecting the pilots, I mentioned that they are adapting to this aircraft.

Umm actually hindi should have been there, but yeah ofc not all people have hindi as mother tongue in India so it was kinda wrong too. But Bangla airlines too has Bangla written on it. Nothing wrong in expressing your culture.

Looks okay though. I did have the same feeling when the livery was initially unveiled, it felt there was no life to it. But seeing it in real time, it eventually grows on you. Though on that note, I’d prefer the previous Air India livery with the rising sun.
