Even after almost 8 years of wearing my 2016 black toe 1's these are definitely my favorite 1's next to both the Union 1's black toes and storm blues.

MJ's pair in 85 had a black tongue and he used red laces on it. Sort of how the old love 1 from the pack looked. Except those were mids.

Old video of course. But why is the tongue white on all the retro black toes, when the tongue one the original from 84 was a black tongue? I just picked up a pair, and am currently painting the tongue black and the “Nike Air” on the tongue tabs red.

Bro they are soft!!! The difference is the leather isnt tumbled. The ankle is fragment soft. Best non tumbled leather on a 1 yet

yeah dont know why tumbled leather is hyped. They need to tumble those leather to soften it, it just means these tumbled leathers are fcking rigid in raw form. The smooth leather ones are the real soft leathers.

Ryan Silva-Deasy not gonna lie my dude but if you're looking to cop ANY Jordan 1 online you are going to most likely strike out. These may not be as crazy as the bred 1s that released earlier this year but they'll definitely be really difficult to cop. I wouldn't count on getting them online

Dont hype tumbled leather way too mch. Tumbled leathers are very stiff in Raw form, thats why they need to tumble it to make em soft. the smooth leather are soft right of the bat. Tumbled leather looks nice but soft smooth leather are clean and can repel water way better.

+angel gallaga I say that in a video, all tumbled leather is, is a different finishing technique, generally Nike tumbles their softer leathers

While tumbled leather may not mean good leather, the leather on the bred 1's from 2016 was one of the best quality leathers recently released, better than the sbb 2.0s for sure. On the other hand the leather on the black toe's 2016 isn't good at all. While it's not the best to compare tumbled leather and non tumbled leather, the only reason why he compared the leather to that of the breds were because the leather on the breds were simply amazing.
