So maybe im the only one who remembers the Jordan 1 Melo PE from 2014? They look EXACTLY like the Gold Medal 1s. I got them but I feel like this is prolly a fresh pickup too since the gold on the toe doesnt age well with creasing. The Tongue on the Melo PE was different tho. I agree black and gold is almost ALWAYS a winner colorway

Thanks for the updates Brian. Excited about those Kobes in 2025 , just becoming so discouraging how difficult Kobes have become to cop. For the Gold Medal and First in Flight AJ1s ; i like both but probably passing on both as well , sticking to OGs and special / iconic colorways on AJ1s from here out. The Black Toe AJ1 Highs , along with the BC3s are the top two sneakers i am most excited about the rest of the year , now being past the MB4 release. I am copping the Black Toes either way , Black Toe AJ1 Highs one of / if not my favorite AJ1 colorway. Though i would be disappointed with a sail midsole , many basic GRs have aged hits now ; i was never a fan of the aged stuff anyway but to me its just no longer remotely special. And i have been all for the Air Jordan text instead of the wings logo like the sample , but imo having a personalized signature and messaging might be taking it too far. I would have liked perhaps just his signature , but the personalized message not really for me. But as i said def copping them regardless.

The Jordan 1 black toes are my favorites and I have the 2013 pair deadstock and the 2016 pair that I wear all the time. Looking forward to getting the 2024 reimagined black toes as well. May even double up.

Was really hoping the black toes would have no aged look. Air Jordan instead of wings logo? I’m fine with that. Different material? I’d be fine with that too. But no, it’s gotta resort to the same old gimmick of aging the midsole. I prefer my new shoes to look NEW.

JB doesn't seem to be able to get exactly right for some reason. If that promo/ sample pair was for 84/85 why not make it a 85 cut. Again missed opportunity.
