The Air Jordan that they are putting on the black toe 1's was one of the original concepts. I remember seeing the concept in a Nike article they were gonna use the Air Jordan text on the ankle and then they came up with the wings logo.

Im not mad at the Reimagined Black Toe AJ1s at all. Not a fan of the material switch-ups in this series and the aged treatment was never that big on myself. The aged look just been overdone to me (many GRs even have sail midsoles and aged hits now). So clean close to OG that isn't getting a material switch-up or the aged treatment , i am all for that. "Reimagined" is a different take on a sneaker, so can't expect no changes in this series (which at times is hit or miss). In this case think JB made a good choice. I am 100% down for these Reimagined Black Toes if JB sticks to this plan. I prefer clean close to OG over anything , can't really get more OG than the original sample.

I agree that it’s hit or miss. I think the biggest drop of the ball was the suede on the Royals. They are cool to me still because I love the colorway, but not a fan of suede on them. Especially since it wasn’t a great grade of suede. If they used the same suede on the Hyper Royal or the University Blue, would have been much better.

@@sneakerfiles yeah those Royals would be my least favorite as well , along with the Patent Breds (if Patent Breds are officially part of that series), both just missed the mark with their particular choices on the material switch-ups. These Black Toe Reimagined i really like this concept close to the OG sample. Next "aged" Reimagined Jordan i think they should do the White Cement AJ4s , i think those would look really good aged. And material switch up would be interesting if we get the Black Cement 3 in nubuck , so the reverse of the Reimagined Bred 4s. I am all but certain the next Black Cement 3 retro will be reimagined and that might be the way to go.

The military blue 4s looking a bit off to me. The suede on the toe is way too dark and doesn’t match the rest of the gray on the sneaker👎, and also the blue looks a bit too dark. The only good thing for me is the “nike air” on the back tab, but that’s not enough for me to cop. A bit disappointed tbh. Even though “military blues” is one of my favorite color ways I’m not sure if I’ll go for them (still got the previous release pair on ice and one in rotation in good shape). I guess Bred 4s “Reimagined” is the only one I’ll go for.

The Reimagined series is really a hit or miss... I hope we'll get true to OG White Cement 4's and True Blue 3's before they give them the Reimagined treatment. If they're also using old samples for the Reimagined series they should definitely give us the reverse Black Infrareds or things like that instead of only messing with OG colorways
