I really want them to fix how the 13 tongue squeaks. This is the first time I’ve heard that the og wasn’t as bad because of the material difference. But that’s what’s great about this channel, one of the few that talks tech specs etc.

Eventually the squeaking stops. I have a pair of the wolf greys and it took abt a month. The first couple times in public I felt like SpongeBob

I'm pretty new to the sneaker game and I've always wondered if this was normal. Every pair of Jordans I've won or purchased so far has this issue around the ankle and tongue area and I'm not sure what to do about it.

@@whatgosherejust wear them for a bit and thw squeaking stops. It’s the tongue leather rubbing up against the side of the shoe. I haven’t had my 13s squeak since September (purchased in august)

@@zeetonblaster2319 I can vouch for this. It eventually goes away. I also have them in wolf grey and they squeaked like crazy at first. My wheats still do. The playoffs are awesome though because the tongue is suede

The Court Purples were my first pair of 13s ever and I’ve fallen in love with them ever since. By far the best retro to hoop in!

I used to hate 13’s. Always thought they were ugly. Then one day I grabbed a pair and I’ve loved them ever since. The most comfortable Jordan (I’d argue 3’s here too but these have much better cushion - the 3’s are comfortable in a fit/upper way to me) IMO. The zoom is fantastic. These just feel.. good.

Really appreciate that you do a focus on fit, I have a high arch and so many reviews only talk about how “hype” shoes are, I’m 39 I couldn’t care less about hype I want comfort and retros I couldn’t attain as a child you bring it all with a little extra keep them coming! I bought the OG 13 "He Got Game" (when they weren't called that). My very first pair of Jordan's. I paid for em myself with my check from Pizza Hut. I DEFINITELY dont remember that tongue squeaking like these retros. I did everything in my pair. Hooped, played football, and even made pizzas. A beautiful, comfortable, well made shoe.

Its a beautifully clean and simple colorway. Practically perfect for something that hasnt been done before. I personally would have chosen something other than yellow as an accent color for the upper but that's just personal preference of not liking yellow that much.

I just grabbed them today on release day. I tried the half size bigger on at one store(last size), and they were a relatively true fit with my compression sock sleeve over my socks, but I went with the tts at another store. I haven't had 13s since the wheat '05 releases and while comfy, I just dont like how the sides crease up. I prefer the UNC blue 9s that will drop shortly.

i put wax on the tongues, its designed for garments with a lil help from a hairdryer. the sports last is way different to the 'retro' last, i would say its give a general fit.

If you rub a piece of bounce dryer sheets between the tongue and inner lining of the sneaker, it actually will stop the squeak for a while. Works especially well when leaving the house and it starts squeaking

I saw these for the first time on Jeff Green's feet last night during their match with the Raptors, and I gravitated to it right away, since you don't see any Retros on court these days since the early 2010s. I initially thought it was a PE and had to google Baby Blue / Light Blue 13s right away to know more. Definitely love it and might cop if the budget lets me 😅

I resolved the squeaky tongue issue by applying Shin Etsu grease on the sides of the tongue and tying the top of the shoes really tight.

I love these and being a UNC fan here in North Carolina, this colorway is awesome. I think the "ochre" hits have a golden vibe to them commemorating the Tarheels 6 titles. The 13 is one of my favorite silouettes too.

I’d like to see weight comparisons. Lol. I love my 13 black cats they are so comfortable and light. My Jordan 3s are comfortable too but heavy. I have a drop foot on my right foot so I can notice the weight. I hear baby powder helps with squeak.

Loved the story time…I’d buy that story to be associated with this colorway. I mean it’s more plausible that that one story they concocted for a AJ 5 about waiting in line overnight blah blah. 😂 Really happy they are using better leather for the toe now. I like these mostly because I am biased to the 13s. But it would have been better if the outsole were all black, instead of the grey they used. I'm leaning towards the OG colorways. Like the Del Sol 13s. I'll pass on these, because I already have the wolf grey 13s and doubled up on the Del Sols when they came out.

Can you find out why the sol fly 13's or the black flints was the last one's that have the roman numerals behind jordan tag at bottom of the tongue, play offs wheats grey wolfs and these dont have it 🤔

Playoffs don’t have it due to the OG not having it. They likely continued to leave it off as it’s easier for the factories to manufacture the future tags all the same.
