People weren’t ready for the 2s in 86. When the Jordan 11 came around in 95, people were all-in for the concept of a luxury sneaker. I love 2s, and I am happy they’re being treated with the respect they deserve.

Chris, as I'm sure you already know, Jordan wore the 1.5 Chicago in his highest scoring playoff game, same game larry bird called him "god disguised as Michael Jordan" after scoring 63 in the Boston Garden. I wore my pair to a celtic game this season (native bostonian and fan). I've never understood why that pair gets no love but I love mine lol. Thanks for all you do man

The Jordan in my opinion changed the shoe game!! It looked nothing like other bball shoes in the it's day!! And for me at 52 years young a must have. I hope they stay sleep😊

What a way to end the year. To have Fire Red 3s and these months apart is heavenly, especially since both are made closer to the originals. If you think about what released this year, it’s been an amazing year for sneakers. ♥️

I had these my Junior year in high school. My cousins boyfriend worked for Nike and I got them early. Before I pulled the paper back when I opened the box, all I smelled was leather. Absolutely fell in love with them and wore them inside, outside and everywhere. To me, their so elegant and futuristic. Jordans best scoring season ever at 37.1 and 3041 points. Second to Wilt and this shoe brings back so many memories in the gym and the playground. Appreciate the video and great breakdown on the shoe.

Hi everybody, I am an italian footwear designer and my boss is actually one of the people that took care of the making of the shoe (materials, tooling...) right here in Italy back in the late 80s! He has so many stories about that shoe but unluckly he doesn't have any OG pair anymore because the sole of the shoe ages very badly.

This is the release I'm gunning for, they're so damn gorgeous!! I hope people keep the same energy for this release like they did for the other Jordan 2 drops starting with the Union collabs. I'm anticipating this a bit more than the Chicago 1s, even though I miraculously hit on those. Keep that same energy, Jordan 2 bashers and let the rest of us cop!!

@@21prgary while most hated or questioned why Union would do a J2 collab, I actually liked them. And wanted the Grey fog colorway. Still may pick those up. But I have the AMM 2s and WOW!! Am I blown away by the 2s. I love them as a new sneaker dude.

Fire red silver tongue 5 and Fire red 4 in 2020, Carmine 6s last year. Fire red 3 and Chicago 1s last month. This Chicago 2 is the final infinity stone for me...The Cardinal 7 is extra.

Gorgeous pair of shoes! 2s always look great and have their charm. I don't know about the Chicago lows from 2016 but the University Blue lows from that same year also had that PU window in the outsole and the sizing. The letdown from that pair was the super boxy toe that was almost squared and looked weird and the full embosed reptile skin on the whole shoe, but that was also a pretty and comfy colorway.

As usual, another great overall video review. Though I am an OG collector and wearer, I didn't get into the "shoe game" until 1991 when the Chicago Bulls won their first NBA championship. But, the Air Jordan II 2's are one of my favorite models. IMO, the 2's just have a simple, smoothness to them. I have the 1994 retros both the mid and lows. Definitely a HOPE to cop this remastered retro.

If i recall, even the og 2s from 87 did also have some vinyl on the tongue. I know the 94 releases had the synethtic that peels the paint out. But for sure they made it as close as possible, including the cheap vinyl.

I was always indifferent to the Air Jordan 2 until now. This retro is beyond perfect. Other renditions of the 2’s always seemed off to me. The toe shape didn’t look right and the materials were cheap, but when I saw photos of these over the summer, I feel in love immediately. I got lucky with the fire red 3’s and shock drop varsity red 11’s. I’m praying to the sneaker gods I’ll get a W with these.

Yep..I'm 50. I cut grass in 85 6 solid weeks to buy aj 1. They were 125$ which was shocking..my parents weren't going for it so I bought them. I always liked the 2s..I adore my lebron soldier 11 10.5, I have worn them out...there's not alot of options for those...so I'm looking to replace...the Jordan is air the soldier is ZOOM.. I do alot of walking and need a hightop that's going to be supportive and comfortable..

Got the 2014 OG AJ2 Chicago Home pair and they came factory laced. I laced my AJ2 Chicago’s like those and it helped with the puffiness immediately.

Thanks! They are beautiful. I have never worn a pair of 2s sadly being an 80s baby. I am assuming they fit like the 1-4s. I do 1/2 size down in 5 and 6. I have a weird foot. next to the jordan 18...this is my fav shoe, had a pair before that got stolen. i now have the retro 2 reverse bred and since i work for nike, this is definitely a shoe i have to add to the collection. my wife hates all my shoes and she'll no doubt hate this 1 as well but that's life. 😜 keep bringing us the good stuff, i check with u guys before i get a shoe, regardless of working for the company...u guys give me insight before i grab em so thanks and much appreciation. 👍

Yep it's the kids that didn't live during the time they came out I got a pair from a Nike outlet in 95 for 50 dollars went back to campus and people were joking me thinking they were butter cookies shoes, the 10's were out and people didn't remember the AJ2!
