It’s even better to hear them say, “The coolest Papa ever.” It’s funny as hell to me when I look at the sneakers and clothes I wear and realize that I’m a grandfather with a bunch of grandchildren. 😂😂😂

I really think the reason why these failed back in 1987, it is because of the minimalistic look. People wanted that Nike check and so you know you’re wearing a pair of Nike. But in the new fashion environment with sneakers, minimalistic design is key. It’s the reason why I loved the 350s because there was no three stripes. It was minimalistic, but you knew what the sneaker was. These are phenomenal!

I had these back in ‘86 and real sneaker heads in my neighborhood and beyond rocked these. Jordan 2’s were worn by the fly dudes and hustlers so I don’t know why people think these weren’t loved. You had to be there and in the culture to understand

I own an OG pair of the Chicago 2s, and let me say this, when I bought these I literally got goosebumps, lol. These retros are at a solid 90%-95% to the OGs. #2sDay!

Since it has age to the shoe, the leather doesn't feel as fine as it did before. But compared to these 2023 retros, it's still pretty soft. Nonetheless, they did a great job on these!

My favorite jordan is the 2s I had these when they originally came out an the leather that is used on these doesn't feel the same it feels cheaper in my opinion but I don't by Jordan's like I use to but when I saw these were being released I had to have them over all I'm glad to get them haven't tried them on yet but I remember them as the most comfortable.

I picked them up. I’ve never owned a pair of 2’s til now. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting a 1 to 1 resemble it feel of the original. It just won’t ever happen as much as we ask for it. With that out the way, as my first pair, I have to admit they are super nice and clean. Overall great snkr, feels great and truth be told, JB could’ve added some bs leather materials but they didn’t. Not saying the leather is A1, but we’ve definitely seen way worse leather so I think they did a phenomenal job. Super glad I picked up a pair and especially the Chicago colorway. Great end of the yr pick up without a doubt

Everytime I'm tempted to take the plunge and grab a pair of these (still sitting here in Australia), I look at the on-feet footages and decided otherwise. They just look incredibly bulky and puffy. These make Jordan 5s seem sleek in comparison.

Sean I have to agree there’s a little bit weird with the OG re release sizing for men for most of the OGs like aj1 Low even SB dunks I could wear a half size down. It’s a little odd for me to downsize but I find OG cuts are little bit roomy and I’m slightly on the wider side just like Sean. Please keep it up Sean with the videos.

@seango My pair arrived with the notorious "left shoe" q.c. issues. Anticipation built up and crossed fingers for a decent pair but the left shoe arrived "pre-creased" and the toe box had several "nut sack wrinkles" where the mid sole meets the toe. Thanks, Jordan brand for "nut sack" Chicago 2's

Personally was never a fan of the AJ2. This is probably the colorway to get if you rock right them, but for me it's 1, 3, 4, and 11 in that order respectively. If it isn't decent quality leather, I'll pretty much pass on it no matter what. Really hoping the '85 cut Black/White AJ1s comes out decent.

Happy 2023! This look is amazing, but having seen an original, the leather difference is huge. The original AJ2 upper...wow. To get that same quality today you would be looking at the wrong side of $400. More supple, doesn't have the "stiff creasing" of synthetics/vinyl covered leather you see today, you can tell has non repeating grain patterns etc. Unfortunately...the midsole was pretty much gone. Looked like a combination of earthquake rubble and sand. Your typical hydrolysis which sees water enter into the midsole via sweat, humidity, rain etc etc...and break down the shoe. Wear them while you can, these are not eternal...
