Thanks for doing this, Sean. My first ever Jordan was the Chicago’s in 1985, and to be quite honest, I prefer the 2022 version. Forget about the vintage look, I just think it has a little more elements that remind me of the ‘85. Visually I like it a little more than the 2015, but both are very solid releases. If you have both, it’s a win win. I’ll be doubling up on the ‘22. Thanks again for this comparison. Great work.

I like the 2022 version a lot in comparison. I do find the aged collar to be a bit hit or miss for some despite me liking it. All in all, however, I wish they would’ve just released it as an ‘85 Chicago as they did with the Neutral Greys and Georgetowns. The swoosh definitely should’ve emulated those more if they were going for the “Lost & Found” story they’re trying to push.

I think both shoes have their place. The 2015s are just classic, but I definitely love the story behind the Lost and Founds. And the execution of the aesthetics of the shoe is top-notch. Hype shoes and collabs always have a slight edge to me because the stories behind the design lend to the imagination.

Also I like the 2022 version, because I feel like we get quite a bit of Jordan 1s that look relatively the same, with a few colors switched. The vintage look kind of lets this one stand out a bit and really kind of tells the story of the Chicagos.

I’m taking the ‘22. Less clunk, a bit more snug for extra lockdown, and the build seems to be different & lighter from the rest of the OG High 1s. Perfect to hoop in. Would be nice to grab two pairs (at retail), one to hoop & another to wear regularly or even keep on ice for a while, but that may be almost impossible.

I prefer 2015 only bc the 85's that they have released just aren't as comfortable. I buy them every time. I wear them every time. Then I try with thin socks and break them in. Finally end up selling them used bc they just don't ever feel great. For the Chicago colorway I'll obvious make it work but I'd prefer 15's. What would be perfect is gimme a full shoe like the Chicago side of Homage to Home.

Sorry I'm a yr late. But anyways I just got the 2015 Chicago's on ebay by an auction. For some reason I kind of feel comfortable with the 2015, I like the "Lost and Found" but it feels like the material is more stiff and thicker than the 2015 version. Also you realize the "Lost and Found" bleeds when you wash it or when it gets wet. IMO I'm probably going with the 2015. I wish they made tongues more higher on these Air Jordan 1s to make it look more vintage. Other than that I'm glad I copped one at a reasonable price.

Cause the L&F has real leather. The 2015 has synthetic. The L&F leather absorbs water cause it’s authentic leather

I pleased they didnt give these that horse shoe shaped toebox or those laces floating milimeters above the toebox and bottom of the tongue like the 85 highs. Im not a fan of cracked leather at all really but as I have a pair of the 2015s I can only remember wearing once I wanna cop the 2022s to wear as much as possible and add to the vintage look while getting my moneys worth.

Resell of the 2015 is insanely high. I'm good with my 2022 pair. Plus the 2022 will age well compared to the 2015 version due to how they are constructed.

I used to think that the 2015 was so much better but after being enlightened by mjo23dan videos and looking at jordan 1's as a whole with OG 85 and all retro models included. The 2022 takes the things I like from the 85 but with a modern touch and the aging makes them perfect for wearing

I’m so disappointed on the quality of the leather on the lost and found it is nothing like the 2015 Chicago… Specially the softness on the round the toes and even by the wing logo the leather is nothing like it is very stiff like a normal Jordan 1 🤷🏻‍♂️ so definitely like you said I will be wearing my 2015 out of my closet😎
