Yo I’m 40 now. Never really been a sneaker head. I just always kept a fresh pair of AF-1’s in the closet. But now my son is 13 and over the last 2-3 years he’s become a SH and making me one now too! It’s funny how that happens. I’m a 60, almost 61, year old sneaker head. My son and grandson benefit from me purging my collection since I wear a bigger size, now. I was wearing a 10-10.5 when I started. I’m up to an 11/12 depending on the shoe these days. My feet got wider as I’ve gained weight. It’s all good because I’m giving them away to family instead of charity.

2024 is the best overall. No.1 for shape, leather is easier to maintain and is supplied with a very good insole. Thicker cloth backing on the tongue isn't a big deal and is nicely hidden.

As a og at 54 the first pair of Jordan 4's I had was the original 1989 black cement/breds. They weren't very comfortable so I never got another pair of 4's until I hit on the sneakers shock drop for the reimagined 4's. I prefer the supple leather over the nubuck/durabuck for wearability and easy cleaning. Great video and review. 👍

The idea just occured to me, are there museums for shoes? Shoeseums? This video seems like the type of exhibits that shoeseum would have. A historian's view through the generations of the Black cement 4. If you decide to do this as a series, I would like to see a focus on og colorways such as the og 4s black cement, white cement, fire red, and military blue. I would like to see the changes from construction to price point throughout time. Just a thought.

The 2024 kills everything other than 1999. The shape on the 2024 is miles better than anything after 1999. And the leather is nice. The 1999 used the Durabuck and everything after used that ashy nubuck.

Great review! I admit that I wasn’t planning on copping this latest version of the Bred 4’s. I didn’t enter any raffles. I didn’t take advantage of the EA from Finishline. All the hype finally got to me on release day. So, I had to take my chances to try to cop for an early birthday present to myself. I took L’s on all the major retail sites and all the apps. I got in the queue on Snipes and finally got a shot after almost an hour. I was shocked that my size was still available. I immediately put them in my cart and placed my order. Now, I have a pair for my collection. I haven’t even opened the box yet. I’m saving them to wear on my birthday next Sunday.

1999 breds was the first retro I ever bought. They may have been the first or second retro ever. I took back a pair of van baker Jordan brand sneakers to get those which release dates was only two or three weeks apart. Good Times 11 grade.

Where I'm from we never put that much stock in the box, tags, paper none of that all we cared about was the shoes and that's with any brand we copped, so this amazes me how this stuff holds value. And I been buying shoes since the original gucci shoes and adidas top tens in the 70s

Love Jordans 1 2 3 and 4, Jordan 1 was the nike shoe that begun all but so underrated the 2 is foremost the first authentic Jordan she in history, super comfy and indeed luxurious, then the three is the 2 evolution keeping the chic look, the plastic eyelets and the animal print on them same as the 2, the 4 just implement the plastic on the top of them and the mesh around and the herring bone traction, that's it... when we came to the 5 then is a very noticeable jump....

Yo, been an OG Sneakerhead from Trinidad 🇹🇹 since 89' and a Jordan fan since 88'. Bought my 1st J's though in 98 (Playoffs/Bred 98) and haven't turned back since. This year marks 26 years of wearing all J's all day... only time I deviated was the back to back Shocks years with VC where I bought them 'in addition to'... I was really bummed to miss out on the 2019 4's... got tees in advance and everything only to have it sell out online in less than 5 minutes. So I'm super hyped that I got the re-imagined 4's... but if I had a choice... would mos def pick the 2019 drop. I'm OG like that. Looking to pick up the 3, 5 and 10 to complete my bucket list of wearing every Jordan His Airness wore on the court though. The 3 and 5 colorways will be the ones hat stand out at the time for me... but the 10's... White, Black and Grey fo sho... that's the only 10's I want... Lu them kicks ❤💯🔥🔥🔥

What drives me nuts...is how sparingly I've worn my '12 Breds...and the paint is cracking along the inside of the midsole. The foam isnt crumbling...but the paint is cracking and peeling off...and I havent decided if I want the '24 Reimagined Breds.

I have both and the 2024 is way more comfortable than the 19. I wear my shoes and i would think the 19s would be better considering how broken in they are. But the 24s are just so muah better. 24s are better all around IMO
