Jordan 6 Rings are among my favorite Jordans in terms of both looks and comfort - size up 1/2 size (or even a full size) and they're great. Great quality materials and unbelievable construction. Jordan 2s are also some of my fave since they have that quality formal look.

Have never had the luck of catching a rerelease of those in Singapore… those killed on the basketball court too. This is absolutely a newfound phenomenon. I won’t speak for all. I’m sure some hardcore signature Jordan heads looked down on Team Jordans from day 1 but this is such a prepubescent mindset. In my day, the term team Jordan didn’t even exist. Sure they weren’t signature but they were just “Jordans.” I’d argue the evidence that this is a snobby hypebeast opinion is how popular this topic is right now. Meanwhile, back in the early 2000s, tons of guys balled in Jordan Pure and other team Jordans and they were all over the shelves. You definitely saw them as much, or more than the signature lines post 98 retirement. I only recall seeing one guy ever wearing a pair of 15s. I honestly think this is just a teenaged-brand name-labels matter-gotta pay $700 over retail for the Travis Scott’s day after release mindset. Before this new version of being a sneaker head, people just enjoyed getting some fresh sneakers and nobody cared that they were the cheaper ones.

The Jumpman Pro, Pro Quick, Trunner and Strong (vin bakers) all sold out when they dropped and are the few that aren’t known as “Miguel’s”. I feel like if you weren’t alive to see Jordan play in Jordan’s, you shouldn’t be able to speak on certain things involving the shoe because you weren’t around to SEE what people were actually wearing. I live in houston and worked at the “Jordan mall” (Sharpstown but referred to that name because they had the most shoe stores with the most Jordan’s), we sold more Randy Moss “Super Freaks” in both colors than we did OG Laney 5s, Columbia 4s and white/silver 5s. They would’ve seen that olive 9s NEVER sold out and went to outlets. Just like how we had to put Laneys on clearance. Same with Mocha 3s, Olympic 6s. The only retroes people actually really bought were the 99 Jordan 4s in both Og colors and the 11s because it was the first time either had been retroed and that was the only time you got a pass wearing “old” Jordans because before that, the retro attempts FAILED.
