I think the reason we see og colorways drop in value after a retro comes out is because unlike cards, shoes deteriorate. Most people would rather have a new pair they can rock for the next 10 years or so than an og that would fall apart after a few wears, so the og starts to lose that value advantage once that happens.

OG sneakers drop because sneakers dissolve. It’s not like a card that gonna be good for 50-85 years that you can put in case. These to wear the older they get the less wearable they are. So the newer pair is more wearable so they become More valuable and old pairs become less so.
