In today’s video I’ll be restoring a pair of 1991 Jordan 6 maroons. These were very beat the soles were gone ripped and had many holes so I had to use new soles. I got two donor pairs form 2015 one was a size 10.5 but it didn’t fit properly so I got the second one size 11 and it fit perfectly on the 11.5. The front pull tab was faded and started to show signs of cracking so I used the 2015 pair as a replacement and put a matte finisher and scratched it up to make it look aged. I also stitched it on with my new stitch machine which I am still learning. The durbuck back was flaking everywhere and was not save able so I did the tennis ball method the upper Leather was repaint as well but I made sure not to paint the leather cuts or stitching. I gave the midsoles a repaint the off white area of the midsole I used like 60% white and 40% cream and the maroon part I used the color maroon and regular red I would say 50% maroon and 50% red. For the upper leather I used 70% white and 30% cream and the back durbuck I used the same color for the leather uppers just added GAC 900 and sprayed it on. The soles look red because the second donor was a dead stock pair and the maroon midsole bled onto the soles not a big deal since it’s my pair and I will wear them. The insoles were very strange never seen them cracking the way they were but I ended up saving them. Overall a lot of fun hive you enjoy the video like comment subscribe and tell others.
